| ― Verum, The Executable God |
Verum, known in-universe as X, is the main antagonist of the The Executable God. He was created by Neoscript as a retake of JC the Hyena's original Sonic.EXE. Verum is an ancient demon who commands a cult and enjoys killing humans and taking them to his domain. Verum uses these victims for his personal entertainment, until he eventually gets bored of them and kills them off permanently, repeating the cycle. The demon has an obsession with Sonic the Hedgehog, thus why he uses it's characters for his violent activities.
The God[]
Verum is a largely playful and sadistic being, but he is very quick to anger. He will become vicious and enraged if challenged, and he will continue these mannerisms until he wins. Verum enjoys taunting his victims, comforting them as a form of mockery, or clearly mocking them when he wants to.
Verum only likes to torment one person at a time, leaving the rest to wait until it's their time to play his game. More than one person can overwhelm Verum mentally very easily, largely due to the fact of his fear of uprise.
Visage[]
In his main form, Verum appears as a bloodied Sonic, with a chaos emerald lodged in his head, and one in both of his arms. In his true form, Verum appears as a large armless skinny humanoid with hedgehog quills and a cartoony face. His body below his waist is enveloped by a mountain of dark material.
The Tale[]
X was born in the depths of Hell, 20 years B.C. After being separated from his mother, X became sorrowful. X was eventually brought out of Hell when he was summoned in 99 A.D. From this point onward, X wanted to create as much havoc as possible. In his earliest days on Earth, X terrorized the middle east. When he discovered the existence of hedgehogs, he took a great liking to them, and he began possessing them. X traveled all around the world, indoctrinating people into a cult centered around him and encouraging them to do the same. He eventually made it to Japan in the 1960's. He terrorized Yuji Naka, Hirokazu Yasuhara, and Naoto Ohshima when they were children, until he got bored and left them. When the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise was released to the public, he took a great interest in it, and managed to create his own domain centered around Sonic. From that point onward, X would hunt down people he specifically selected and torment them in his domain for as long as he wanted.
During the events of The Executable God, X wishes to find new souls to drag into his domain. He targets several people over a 3 year period, first targeting an epileptic 8 year old boy named Michael Weaver, killing him via. flashing lights. He then targets a man named Giovanni Faraldo, killing him by crushing him in his domain. X then targets a woman named Kanata Abe, sending his cultists to lure her out so she can be sacrificed. X then targets a woman named Elizabeth Thamar, crushing her in his domain similar to Giovanni. After her, X targets a teenage boy named Matthew Southgate, pursuing him for a long time before having to result to having him executed by his cult members. X's last victim is Thomas, who he crushed in waters of his domain.
