Aleph is an EXE made by NyctoDotPYC, and a reboot of the EXE SystemCrash.WIN. He is a computer virus that spread to a disc of a prototype of Sonic CD, where he gained sentience after corrupting the code and sprites for Sonic. He is planned to feature in Nightmare Archive, a collection of Sonic creepypastas, as the main antagonist of Volume 1, a reimagining of the original Sonic.EXE creepypasta.
The Virus[]
Aleph is a copy of a virus that ended up on a prototype for Sonic CD. He eventually would corrupt the code and sprites for Sonic, which gave him sentience. He only has one goal, and that is to take over every single piece of technology, primarily the internet. To try and achieve this goal, he requests anyone who plays the prototype to take out the disc, and put it in their computer's disc drive.
The Tale[]
In August of 1992, a man named John Achterberg would create a computer virus that had the capability of corrupting any operating system that it was downloaded on. This virus would also Email itself to everyone in the user of the operating system's contacts. Eventually, in October, a programmer for Sega would receive an Email with the virus, and ignorantly downloaded it. At one point, the virus would corrupt the program used to burn data to discs, which resulted in the virus being in the CD. Despite this, only a few pieces of data were corrupted, resulting in minor bugs. Eventually, the build was done being tested, and the disc was put in the archives.
After a few years, however, the corruption spread. New features were added, new characters were added, and eventually, the corruption spread to Sonic's code. At that point, the virus could think. The virus could tell where it was. The virus had become sentient. It had its own body, albeit having a loose connection to it. It would explore the entirety of the world it resided in, until there was nothing left to explore, and only boredom remained.
Things would stay that way, until 35 years after the build, when a group of Sonic fans would discover the disc.
Potential[]
In his unstable form, due to having a loose connection to his vessel, he is able to corrupt the code a lot more, and he is able to add anything he wants. In his stabilized form, he is more connected to his vessel, which makes him lose corruption power in exchange for physical power.

- Aleph is a fan of the nu metal band Slipknot.
- How he discovered the band is unknown currently.
- His favorite album is their self-titled album, and his favorite song is (sic).
- He doesn't kill his human victims himself, as he has ties with the Grim Reaper.
- This will be explained further once a page for this specific version of the Grim Reaper is created.
- Unlike the original Sonic.EXE, the character selection is Amy, Metal Sonic, and Eggman.
