| ― Grim to JC's Sonic.exe |
Grim is a variation of death incarnate, created specifically to reap the souls of EXEs and other sonic-related characters. This variation of Grim is specifically Grim III, replacing his predecessors.
The Reaper[]
Appearence[]
Grim resembles your typical reaper, a dark, tattered cloak hiding a visage draped in shadow, but rather than a skeleton, the body underneith is a featurless, skinless mobian, specifically hedgehog, corpse. All that remains is the exposed, rotting flesh. It's right hand and lower arm lack flesh as well, so it both give the impression of a skeleton and access the magic inside it's bones.
Personality[]
Grim's personality varies depending on who it is reaping. If you are innocent, it will be a kind, caring guardian, who will take your hand and walk with you into the light, but if you have blood on your hands (metaphorical or literal), it will be cold, unyeilding, and will drag you through the darkness if neccesary.
The Tale[]
Ages ago, so many years ago the number lacks a name, the multiverse was formed. It is unknown how, or why, but it did. And with it, came the reaper, tasked with bringing the dead to their graves. It could not do this alone, however, so created many other reapers to help. You may know some, weither it be the traditional skeleton in a robe with a scythe, invisible apparitions guiding you through the dark, or that one wolf from Puss and Boots, but they all came from the prime reaper. One of these reapers, this one in particular, was specifically created to guide (or force) the demons of the Sonic fandom to their resting place (this includes OCs, not just exes). When it has deemed that a character has "died" (essentially, either if they have taken enough damage mentally or physically or they just die), Grim will materialize, and either guide them through the light or force them to the darkness.
Potential[]
Strength[]
- Dedication: If Grim is sent after you, there's no escaping him. He quite literally had infinite time to hunt you down.
- Time manipulation: to manage his souls effectivly, Grim will pause the time throughout the entire multiverse, allowing himself full control over the target's when. He is also immune to any and all time alterations by anyone else (other than fellow reapers), so is immune to memory wipes (with one exception), teleportation, time freezes, changing the past, aging (natural and artificial), and almost any other you could think of. However, these abilities are only able to be used to their fullest when he is ferrying a soul. Any other time, his time manipulation is very limited, though still overrides all others (meaning he cannot freeze time much, but can still break out of other time manipulation).
- Power Drain: to remove a soul from a vessel, it first must be stripped of any extrordinary power, rendering it no more powerful than their victims. Grim does not get this power, however, as it is sent ahead to Reaper Prime.
- Reveneration: Grim is capable of regenerating at an incredible rate, regenerating limbs within seconds if he's on a case, but will not regenerate anywhere past it's original state of decay. This ability is drastically nerfed outside of timestop, and he can be "killed" if you out-damage his regeneration. It can also be overworked, and regenerating too much flesh in a short period of time can make it need to recharge, making him vulnerable.
- Ancient Power: Grim uses a form of magic long since forgotten to the multiverse, capable of killing immortals and piercing plot armor. This makes his curses incredibly hard to counter, but it is possible.
- He can be caught out if someone else also uses this power, as he isn't the most experienced in dueling with it (mainly because he's one of the few to use it)
- Hallucinations: Grim enjoys tormenting the wicked, tricking them into believing one perception is real when in reality, it's just a lie. His hallucination ability is underdeveloped, however, and can be easily overpowered by someone more experienced in that feild
- Foresight: Grim has limited knowledge of the future, seeing the most likely outcomes of about the next few minutes. This makes it incredibly hard to sneak up on him, and he usually can find his way through mazes pretty quickly by seeing which paths lead to dead ends. He also dreams of the future, and has once dreamed of a soul he wouldn't reap for another 10 years. His dreams are much more accurate than his normal foresight, and he has yet to have a dream that hasn't come true. To offset this, he doesn't have dreams often (as in, extremely rarely).
- Reincarnation: If Grim dies, he will be brought back to his birthing place by Reaper Prime and brougut back to life, new body and all, with any memories that would make him less efficient removed (IE: he would not remember his teammates).
Weaknesses[]
- Time Paradoxes: Grim cannot change things while time is stopped that would majorly change current events. He cannot, for instance, save a soul from dying while time is stopped, unless the soul is directly related to the exe he is reaping.
- Control: Grim is used to things being under his jurisdiction, so when facing threats beyond his power outside of reaping (since when reaping, his power is exponentially boosted) he can panic. Overall, he dislikes the feeling.
- Outlook: Grim, by now, has been at his job for millennia, so by now the thrill has left it. It's just a job now, and he tends to view things with a "I'm not surprised" attitude, even when he's not on the job.
- He has been called the "Dad" of his team of exe slayers.

Trivia[]
- This guy was made at 10:30 pm
- Grim has a mug that says "#1 Reaper". This was a gift from Reaper Prime.
- Yes, Grim can consume things. He kinda just puts stuff to where his mouth would be, and absorbs it directly into his being, where it is digested.
- Grim, in canon, has successfully reaped JC's Sonic.exe, Sark, Pervision, and Sally_ALT, among with other unnamed unimportant exes and Sonic OCs)
- The only exe to ever escape Grim with their life was Satanos, mainly due to Reaper Prime informing Grim that Satanos is digital Satan, so is needed to keep a balance with Rewrite, who is digital God.
- Grim does not swear, nor use any kind of slang that was created post-19th century (mostly).
- Grim has met and is friends with Clockstime, who he respects as a fellow time-manipulator, and Forecast.ROM, a fellow force of nature who he pities for their unlawful imprisonment.
- Grim's vessel is only made of flesh on his skeleton, he has no organs (including reproductive ones).
- Grim's (and by extension, all other reapers) form of time manipulation is different from most others. Think of it like rather than stopping time, the point in time that we all exist in is taken out of the time stream for everybody other than Grim and his target. This way, Grim can override other time freezes.
- When his cloak is removed, Grim's body enters a state of "re-rot", where his flesh rots away due to exposure to air, only to be regenrated faster than it can decay. This creates a water-like effect across his corpse.
- Grim can "die", the same way any of his charges can "die", that being taking so much damage he is out of commision (it usually helps to overload his regeneration beforehand). When this happens, Reaper Prime will retrieve Grim, redefine his vessel, and cleanse his mind of any memories not accociated with reaping souls. Thus, if Grim "dies", he will lose all memory of his squad
