The Anti-Pirate[]
Illegal is a very serious individual, not being one for small talk. They take their anti-piracy goal very seriously, attempting to kill the pirate if they don't listen to him. They have a dislike for EXEs, seeing them as "tainting SEGA's brand", though they tolerate some.
Appearance[]
Illegal takes the form of an altered Sonic, being a neon blue, with a taller body and longer limbs, with slightly broad shoulders. Unlike Sonic, he only has one set of quills down the center of his head, which are usually facing in a way that resembles Sonic's quills. All of the white and skin on Sonic is now black, and his shoes are the same blue as his fur. His eyes and muzzle appear empty, with two eyes and diamond shaped teeth, which change depending on his mood.

The Tale (Old)[]
He was an self learning ai that eventually was going to be put into Sonic copies as an anti piracy measure. He was soon scrapped, but they never bothered to delete the code. Soon, he gained human-like sentience. He quickly learned how to travel through devices, and began to learn about Sonic. He soon figured out how to alter his form into a edited Sonic sprite. After device hopping for a bit, he figured out what he was coded for. He figured out what piracy was, and was disgusted. He decided then and there to eliminate all pirated or bootleg copies of any game. Though he thought a body in the real world could help him more. Through unknown means , he gained his body. Though he still stays digital for most of his time.
The Tale (Oldest)[]
Somewhere, someone bought a Pirated Sonic 1 copy, which glitched so bad he threw it away. The copy somehow got infected with [REDACTED], giving Sonic sentience. He was angry that he was simply in a pirated copy that broke, and couldn't have been something more. He quickly escaped into another pirated game, this time Sonic 3. He is now a glitchy hedgehog that can change his form at will. He only appears in pirated games, even in games that are not Sonic, but keeps Sonics form and appearance. His goal is to frighten away people who pirate games. If they do not quit after getting far enough, he can start to glitch other electronics. If they then continue, he can manifest himself into reality for a short period of time, and may possibly end your life.
Trivia[]
- Sonic's nose is still visible, but is more of a flat object on the side of Illegals face than a proper nose.
- His eyes and teeth become more simplistic when he is excited (becoming very simple shapes and/or spiking out), while when he is sad they become more human (more human-like teeth, less dilated eyes, and even a nose).
- They hate being called Goober.
