The virus[]
Maronic is a type of computer virus that disguises itself as a Mario game romhack, with Sonic replacing the character. It has popped up on Jimmy's computer to corrupt his computer, and spread itself around the internet.
Appearance[]
Main form[]
Maronic looks similar to classic sonic. However, she is in a more Mario NES-style, with her spikes being a Denim blue, her belly, arms, snout, and eyes are a Fire Bush orange with her ears completely that color, and her nose and mouth, along with her REAL eyes and the blood coming from around her eyes, being a Roof Terracotta red. Her socks and gloves are also a F.B. orange color, her shoes are R.T. red with F.B. orange ends, and the shine on any parts of the body being a R.T. red.
Alt forms[]
The alt forms are an alternate version of Maronic, with the first, being after having their eyes torn out, with their eyes now hollowed and more blood pouring out of the eyes, and the hands all bloodies from pulling them out to begin with.
The Second alt however, has the eye socket stretched open, while looking more hollow, with tendrils coming out of the sides of the eyes, and the body looking more saturated.

Personality[]
She appears mainly serious about her work, though only playful when in the games. sometimes, she would have too much fun, to where she wouldn't want the fun to end!
But in general, She has an End goal, to obtain as many souls as she can to evolve from her current state, to a higher being. After what happened in Jimmy's house, she got a lot of power. But the command prompt wasn't enough. She wants, and NEEDS more power to transcend, and she wont stop until she gets it.
That's the one thing she's serious about.
The Tale[]
Jimmy was just looking online for some stuff to do for his school project, using Microsoft word as the main thing for it, until he got a random message. it was some document with a game download for a Sonic-Mario game, seemingly being the reverse of Somario; Sonic being in the classic Mario game. Jimmy felt suspicious at first, yet he didn't care, deciding to download anyway.
Besides. it's just one game right? what's the worst that could happen?
He would open the game to see the Mario menu, with Sonic in the main thing using his normal mechanics, going through the Goombas, and some other enemies. It looked promising, so he clicked play. It showed the level screen, showing sonic with three lives, before putting them to the actual game.
The game looked like Mario's game, with Sonic the colors Denim blue, Roof Terracotta red, and Fire Bush orange, making him fit into the classic Mario theme. Jimmy also noticed that he could still gain the Mario power ups, making them either turn big, gain the fire flower's abilities, or become invincible. Eventually, he made it to the flagpole for the first level, though a tab appeared saying an error has occurred with saving the Microsoft word project.
before he can see the project, another tab appears saying that some data is missing. He then started to realize that the game he downloaded might've been the worse thing he done, as he notices the background of his computer disappear, along with most of the other stuff he had, before only the game was able to be seen, with Sonic looking to the camera, until sonic seems to have a wide grin spread across his face, along with his eyes starting to bleed, and his pupils splitting into that of red eyes, as red text appears saying the following:
"YOU REALLY ARE A GULLIBLE IDIOT. ARE YOU? =')"
Before he could do anything else to at least prevent it, the character started laughing as distorted music started playing, as more error messages popped up, with seemingly mocking quotes, like "BURN AWAY", "YOUR FAULT", or "HOW GULLABLE", before the game closed itself for a moment. Jimmy went to delete the game, but a tab opened saying "What do you think you're doing? AREN'T WE SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYING?"
It wasn't until the game reopened, with him now seemingly playing as "Sonic" with some of the tabs covering the screen, along with most of the other enemies looking messed up or demented with everything warping. The background seemed to be on fire and everything looks saturated and some of the enemies being messed up and darkened replicas of "Sonic", having melted, and somewhat lanky bodies, and glitched faces, which seemingly kills sonic upon touching them.
Flashing text appears saying "ARE YOU HAVING FUN YET???" as tabs appear once more, repeating the quote, mixing in with a few errors. But eventually, it wasn't until it reached the Bowser fight, but it was noticed to just be pointless, as "Sonic" immediately drills through Bowser, before he seemingly melts away, as Sonic seemingly dashes through the axe and the end of the level. Text appears on the screen saying "There's more where that came from, bud! Care to join me??? T H E R E S M O R E T O S E E ", before it goes to a level called "O B S C U R E D", with everything mostly darkened, and the music all garbled.
The only enemies in the level being the messed up Sonic lookalikes, and some more variations of them, like ones that are hung by the arms with glitch while having hollow pupils and mouths that only seems to go after "Sonic" when close enough, ones with wings and a pointed face, that seemingly flies towards "Sonic" though jumping on them would automatically kill the enemy, along with seemingly some masses of clones fused to each other seen in the background. Soon, he managed to go through the level, as a window opens saying that all the files have been corrupted.
Though it wasn't long before suddenly everything goes silent, with only the ground being seen, with Sonic then waking on their own before stopping, their body twitching and convulsing, before they tear out their eyes, with glitch bursting out of then, as the computer crashes due to a sudden erasure of data.
Jimmy had to get a new computer after that. (and yeah, his grades got f_cked up because of it.) But despite this, after a bit of time being on that new computer, he got a message, with it being a Microsoft word file that has an image for it, which upon opening it, the file's name was called "Did you Miss me.docm", and the document having an image of them more detailed, with them pulling apart their eye socket, having a blood-like sludge and tendrils coming out of it, and text below saying the following:
"I know you didn't like our first encounter with each other, but I couldn't wait on coming back. The encounter we had before was so much fun, and yet it was cut so short. TOO. short. But I believe we can continue where we left off before. We could have that fun again. . . though it would cost. . . a bit of what you owe in the documents you do. Besides. . . A little file data missing can't affect your LIFE, right?"
Below all of that is seemingly a link, though he doesn't click it. instead he X'ed out the tab, but a different tab opens, with text saying "You know you have a choice here, RIGHT?" Everything will again remove themselves, just as before. But instead, another window would open, being that of seemingly the game successfully gaining admin access, with everything then removing, as seemingly Sonic appears again, with their eyes still torn out in the background, before a window appears saying "your going to enjoy the fun we'll have. weather you like it. OR NOT. NOW. . . LETS. PLAY. =')"
Suddenly everything turned black, with suddenly a thick blue drop hitting the ground, before Sonic emerges from it, their body soon completely forming together, but THIS sonic, had a more normal appearance, though his pupils were more widened, along with the colors altered, and having streaks down the shoes instead of there being ends of the shoes. there was a droning music in the background as floating shapes seemingly floating in the air, along with seemingly pillars of error windows and seemingly a glitched cloudy sky. It wasn't long before the other sonic reaches to "Sonic", with the other sonic seemingly waiting, before they turn around, as seemingly the whole taskbar they were both standing on breaking, as the other sonic falls into the darkness.
It soon leads to the player sonic seemingly falling into some void, as a chase starts, with "Sonic's" eye socket now seemingly opened as they chased. the sound was blasting loud, as Jimmy made the character jump and dash through most of the obstacles, but halfway, it seemed like "Sonic was slowing down, to the point where they went off-screen, making jimmy feel like he made it. though it wasn't until, seemingly a large, glitchy version of sonic, with the eye now hugely wide, and the arms and legs more messed up, while was running on all fours, as he realize, that the chase wasn't over.
It wasn't until he had almost reached the end, him visibly seeing the flagpole, though at the last second, "Sonic" seemingly grabs the other Sonic, the other Sonic struggling in "Sonic's" grasp. Soon, a window popped up on his screen right after "Sonic" turned to look at the cam while smiling wider, saying the following:
"Did you have fun? I sure did! You really put up a show for me. I wonder if you can continue this on, because I don't want this joy to end. and When you finish this, I'll make sure that I'll take us back to where we started. And we can continue this, on, and on, and on. FOR ETERNITY EVEN. We'll play forever, and I'll make sure you won't regret it."
Jimmy, not knowing what to do, eventually decided to continue on, with another window appearing saying:
"I knew you would accept this! We'll have so much fun."
Though after that, the music would grow louder and more bugged and distorted, as "Sonic" grasps the top and bottom of their eye socket, before stretching it open, as Jimmy covers his ears, as he tries to call the cops, though his battery has ran out, as his ears start to bleed more and more, while starting to become more insane from all the noise, as the screen started to flash rapidly, before Jimmy soon went out of his way to start killing himself, before getting the gun from the gun holder.
4 days later, he would be found dead in his house from suicide by the police, as he shot himself in the head, along with seemingly bits of damage around the room, with blood splattered on the wall, and some stuff pulled over, along with the desk in his room being bloodied, as if he might have hit his head hardly against some things, or just going insane, as if he lost the will to prevent hurting himself, before they realize the computer was on, with just a message on the computer saying the following:
"This game will go on and on, Jimmy. Will have a fun time together. Imagine the adventures that behold. . .
. . . Oh the thing's we'll S E E."
