Serat0nin, stylized as SERAT0NIN, created by Tara on the 4th of Feburary 2024 is a Sonic creepypasta-esc entity created to cope with a traumatic event.
Physical Appearance[]
Mobian[]
SERAT0NIN is a pale-blue, and olive mobian. She is physically lankier and more flexible compared to most mobians, as she is not a natural mobian. She has hollow, crimson red eye sockets with glowing pupils—opened in her right eye, while her left eye has a ‘swirl’, with a similarly crimson-colored mouth, unhinged and open revealing blood colored and sharp teeth. She also has pointy ears with red insides, and short quills with smaller ones curling up near the sides of her head and nuzzle. SERAT0NIN naturally wears a hospital gown that's opened in the back being tied together by strings, and matching grip socks. She wears a red choker which contains her 'spirit'.
Human/Pre-Suicide[]
As a human, SERAT0NIN - or Seraphina at the time - would wear a variety of outfits, with her main or casual outfit consisting of a red hoodie, a white cropped tank-top, white fingerless gloves and black pants with matching red and white sneakers. She wears her iconic oxblood colored choker, along with a bandage covering her left eye. She has a brown eye, olive skin and black messy and long hair.
Out-of-Vessel/Post Suicide[]
SERAT0NIN looks like how she did as a human: a teenage girl with black hair and olive skin. She is seen wearing a green camp uniform shirt which is cropped, and denim blue jean shorts. She appears to have a glowing red choker, with her iconic red smile; equally red liquid dripping down her face and nose. SERAT0NIN is missing her feet as exposed bone and flesh is seen instead. She has scars all over her arms and thighs.
SERAT0NIN is noted to float in the air, levitating instead of standing, as she lacks feet in both appearances and prefers it for comfortability.
Stories[]
I WILL BE REWRITING THIS ON MY SOUL
Breaking Out - Meeting Up (1)[]
It was ticking, ticking, ticking.
4:25 in the morning. The moonlight barely glared from beyond the clouds.
I looked at the window up above towards the sky, pressing my hands up against the cold window, before rubbing my eyes and grabbing my contact case off of the table.
A silent exhale left my system.
It hasn’t always been like this; I am always mentally seeking and clawing for a compromise with little to no chance of anything good coming from my pleas. I digress, however.
I got dressed, put my hair up, and silently left my house.
In society's eyes, it's not usually normal for a teenager like me to religiously sneak out and go out with my friends to the park, or the courtyard of our high school.
It’s kind of..no, extremely calming. A little bit of time when I don't feel as if I’m burning, yet still holding the lighter in my hands.
I made my way through the street. Lamp poles stunned my vision ever so slightly as I made my way to the park where I and everyone like to meet up at.
It was a strange walk; different than the others I’ve always taken. I felt a massive pit in my stomach; like I was going to throw up but yet, I couldn’t. Being away from home always makes me nervous, but God knows what else would happen if I stayed for long. Looking up at the never-ending rows of benches, bushes, and Pinyon pines was somehow nostalgic. I never usually...took notice of my environment; the familiar scent calmed me down ever so slightly before my thoughts started to rush.
My thoughts were halted as two voices called out my name as soon as I reached the park—Olivia and Rosie; my two best friends ever since we were all in grade school together.
I speed-walked my way towards them, forcing a smile as Olivia started to speak, her voice light and cheery, and her afro practically glowing in the dim moonlight.
“Sera! We’ve been waiting for a while.”
“I know, I’m sorry. It took a bit to get out of bed.” I said.
“Oh….I forgot about that.” She stammered. “At least you’re out now! That’s the greatest thing you can do, right?”
I nodded; and Rosie started to speak in her rough, deep voice. She crossed her arms
“Do I seriously need to kick your parents’ asses? Like...This is ridiculous.” Rosie growled.
“No, It’ll be fine. I’m just gonna wait it out until summer camp; so I can see...him, again; hang out will you two, and then I’ll be set.”
Olivia giggled as Rosie glared at her.
“You like him, it’s so obvi-”
Rosie interrupted her.
“IT’S SO OBVIOUS SHE LIKES TERRANCE - HE ISN’T EVEN FROM HERE!!!---Ah, I’m sorry….”
“Jeez, Rose……” Olivia sighed.
The two of them must’ve seen my face. It felt burning hot yet a lot more emotionless physically. It felt painful, yet all I could release was a disgruntled hiss.
“Sorry, Serri.” Rosie bowed her head, looking towards the ground before looking back up at me.
“Yeah……” is all I could say in return, slightly fidgeting my bangs; wrapping a section around my finger and twirling it.
“We’ve been emailing almost consistently ever since I gave him my email after last year’s camp session. He’s awesome, y’know? I don’t mind that he took over a year or so to email me - BUT….He’s pretty cute too….and very understanding. I’m glad I’m able to like...y’know, find someone who knows what certain stuff feels like? I wish he lived closer….” I sighed.
“Jesus Christ almighty, Sera! You 'gotta tell him at this point! Not over email though; obviously. Buuuuttttt~ physically! Camp starts in what….uhm…-” Olivia was once more interrupted by Rosie.
“It’s the 27th of June, dumbass. So it'll start in a couple days.”
“oh….WELL! I’M still processing February!”
“You really should go to a therapist for that.”
“huh.”
As Olivia and Rosie were talking, I was just glancing at them; jaw agape; the widest it's ever been; before it snapped shut. I zoned out I believed; going slightly deaf as the world around me silenced; closing my eyes as I heard muffled talking, which turned to slight panic.
I must have collapsed.
What felt like a second passed, and I was sitting down next to Olivia and Rosie, with Rosie keeping me up while Olivia had her hands on my shoulders.
“Sera-”
“Sera?”
"SERA!"
“Olivia. I don’t think she’s going to be up anytime-”
Olivia was yelling at me in hopes of me coming back to reality, with Rosie seemingly pessimistic.
I've always been like this, but these episodes of passing out have gotten worse since...
I shot up suddenly, with my two friends yelping in shock, or fear.
“GODDAMN- Welcome back to Earth, Serri. You good?” Rosie asked.
All I could muster out was a quiet apology.
"Sera...." Olivia whispered. I looked up at her in a semi-dazed state.
"Do you...wanna talk about what's been going on at home? What's going on in your life?" Rosie even looked concerned as Olivia pleaded for me to open up.
".....No." I muttered.
"Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaseeee?"
"No."
"Hmph.....Please, Serri?" Rosie chimed in.
"I don't want to dump everything onto you two. You don't deserve it."
"We'll be fine! Don't worry about us, Sera!!!"
"Hmph...I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
"Hey, it's okay Serri, we promise." I couldn't even reply. It felt as if my entire soul left my body in the span of my dissociation, to when I awakened while sitting with them. My head was fuzzy; full of static.
I couldn't quite understand what happened. What made me snap like that? I...don't know.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..."
I lowered my head. I felt tears forming in my eyes. It hurt.
It hurt.
It. Hurt.
Rosie and Olivia were worried.
I didn't know how to tell them; I never fully told them anything.
Only little chunks and pieces of a full story so they wouldn't be bothered or burdened with my sorrows.
I know it's a selfish mindset.
I know that talking to them might help.
Most importantly.
I don't know what I'm doing.
I eventually snapped back into reality, Olivia and Rosie still comforting me as I sat there like a statue, minus the tears rolling down my face. It was stupid. I felt stupid.
Rosie started to talk again, her voice sounding less rough than usual; it made sense for the change. She sounded very soft.
"Y'know, Serri? You wanna go to my house? I told my mom I might bring you two over, and she said she was okay with it! It wouldn't hurt..." she pleaded.
"Sure..." I mumbled.
Olivia smiled and helped me up. Rosie decided on holding me up bridal-style, and the three of us started walking home...or the two of them were, I was just laying there in Rosie's arms.
I felt the world going dark around me again; probably from anxiety and exhaustion. I remember mumbling out one sentence before succumbing to it.
"Thank you for putting up with my bullshit...."
An Unusual Hope Sweet Home (2)[]
Rosie carried me to her and her mom's house with Olivia behind - I fell asleep in her arms. It was warm and that was all I could recall.
I woke up on a bed slightly next to where Rosie and Olivia were.
They were playing on an NES.
I felt groggy and quite frankly out of it. Grabbing my head with my vision slightly unblurring, my voice shook as I started to speak.
"You guys seriously like Nintendo...?" I mumbled.
Rosie turned her head around to face me as Olivia continued her playing.
"Well, good morning Serri!"
I cracked my neck and then my knuckles. Rosie continued.
"You've been out for a solid; It's noon, girl."
"Damn," I said, looking towards the screen, before looking downwards.
"For real?-"
Rosie interrupted.
"My mom called your mom to let her know where you were - and she's surprisingly fine with you saying for a bit!"
"Really?" I said in a half-genuine half-harsh tone.
"Uh-huh," she replied.
"Your mom...seemed out of it from what I could overhear from my mom's call."
"Oh really now?"
"Mhm."
"That's soooo expected of her."
As me and Rosie talked, Olivia yelped and hissed.
"GODAMMIT - I WAS SO CLOSE!!!"
Rosie chuckled at Olivia's rage, and Olivia slightly bonked her.
"Hey!" Rosie said.
"Sorry, Roro..." Olivia replied, sounding a lot more calm.
"Say...Sera!"
I perked my head up towards Olivia.
"Hm?"
"Camp's soon, remember?"
Rosie interrupted
"No shit, dumbass...sorry...but we already know this-"
"SHUSH AND LEMME TALK RORO DANG!"
Rosie sighed, and let Olivia continue.
"We get to be out of state again! I think that'll be good for all of us - but especially you, Sera! Away from all your problems! Even if it's just for a month, or so."
"True..." I sighed.
"But...It's hard to leave knowing you'll always come back."
I looked up towards everyone, hugging myself as I continued to speak.
"Even if it's even for a little bit...I'll be glad to spend it all with you guys."
Olivia smiled, and Rosie scruffled my hair.
"You're too sweet, Serri."
I put my hand against my mouth to cover my growing grin.
Olivia started to speak - she sounded like she had just remembered something very, very important.
"Sorry to interrupt this moment but...I feel like we forgot to invite Melanie..."
"Shit," Rosie said, side-eyeing Olivia. "I was gonna say something about that!"
"Then why didn't you, Roro?" Olivia replied.
"......I forgot, 'kay?"
I joined into this conversation about Melanie - another member of our trio.
"Well...Should we ask your mom if she could call Mel's parents and ask if she could come over?"
Without any words leaving her mouth, Rosie got up and left the room.
Me and Olivia just stared at each other for a little bit until I slid down the bed, landing right next to her.
"Let me help you out with this level real quick." I said.
"Thank you, Seraaa~!" She cheered, before leaning against me - her head on my shoulder, watching contently at the screen.
I grabbed the controller from next to her, looking intently trying to figure out what the controls were just from sight.
I was never really a Nintendo fan - so I didn't really know what to expect from this. Sure, it most likely functions the same as my SEGA Genesis controller, but how rectangular it was confused me. Why would such a massive corporation DO this? Isn't the whole point of gaming - for me, personally - to be comfortable and have fun?
I thought to myself for a minute or so, but then came back and started to play.
Side-scrolling games were always my strong suit in all honesty.
Olivia watched me sweep the entire level with ease, I didn't take any damage or lose any power-up I had.
Despite her being silent, I could tell that she was...shocked. Her breathing sounded a lot faster than usual.
I handed the controller back to her and giggled.
"Here you go, Livs!" I said. "I dunno why you were struggling, it was kind of...really easy."
"Thank you Sera - that's easy for you, but not me...I'm new to this whole 'gaming' thing."
I chuckled, moving my bangs out of my face.
"Dang, you have to change your bandage sometime!" Olivia said.
"I know. I'll get to that sometime later. Besides, I forgot to bring them with me when I was walking to the park."
"Fair enough."
What felt like hours passed - it was only 30 minutes or so, and Rosie walked back into the room with a short girl with messy black and purple hair.
Olivia's eyes lit up as she waved and spoke.
"HIII MELANIEEEE!!" she excitedly said.
Melanie poked her head out from behind Rosie and silently waved.
She wasn't so much a talker and usually was just...there, most of the time. That didn't mean anything to us though, she was still our best friend and had qualities we adored her for.
She sat down on the bed, and Rosie sat next to me.
"Sooo...What's the plan for the rest of the day, you guys?" Rosie asked stretching her arms.
Melanie looked down at her and raised her eyebrow.
"....?"
"We dunno either, Mellie."
"....."
I decided to speak up.
"Maybe we could...go to the mall? Buy some stuff for camp???"
The silence in the room stuck around for a minute or so. I felt like I was gonna die for no reason until Olivia spoke.
"That's a good idea actually, Sera! It wouldn't hurt to prepare, hehe."
Oh, thank god.
I nervously chuckled, before standing up.
Rosie, Melanie, and Olivia soon followed behind. We walked to the living room and towards the door.
Rosie looked towards her mother in the kitchen and announced to her mother that we were gonna go to the mall and that we would be back later. Rosie's mother smiled and handed Rosie some money.
As we walked out the door, Rosie's mother called out.
"Have fun, girls!"
Rosie shouted back.
"Love you. mom!"
And we were off to the mall. It wasn't a long walk, just 20 or so minutes. We chatted and talked about our crushes and all our feelings about life, school, and our futures.
I had to lie for most of my parts, I...haven't planned that far yet; I mean about my future in the long run, I'm just focused on trying not to spiral, and waiting it out to see my favorite guy again.
