This is my world. A world full of terror. A world with no soul. This is my vision. This is my hell.
― Sentic, SALLY: Broken Heart

Sentic, alternatively and formerly known as Crimtake, by NotSoDevy, is a reimagining of the original Sonic.EXE, serving as a remaster of some of the oldest known games in the Sonic.EXE fandom. He is the main antagonist of the SONIC Lost Drive series.

The God[]

Sentic is a familiar face in the EXE community, being the typical bloodthirsty monster that many are familiar with. That being said, his sense of sadism and cunning seems to be increased, using his disguise to fool his victims and only typically revealing his true eyes to whoever he sees as the game's final victim.

Despite being similar to so many before, Sentic strives to be original with his tricks. He won't do the same thing twice, and prefers to invent his own traps than borrow them from somewhere else, such as engaging in a chase a zone early or instigating a (seemingly) fair fight with a capable victim.

Sentic is somewhat childish and impatient, actually getting frustrated with the player should they repeatedly lose before anything even happens or even when a victim escapes.

Appearance[]

Sentic is near identical to his original counterpart, being a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog with red shoes, white gloves, and pitch black eyes with red pupils. On occasion, black ichor will flow from his eyes.

Most of the time, he disguises himself as Sonic, thus making his eyes appear normal. Whenever Sentic is actively doing something, a noticeable shadow tends to cover the top part of his eyes and in some cases, his pupils are smaller. Unlike most other exes, most of his kills have him never drop this act, his true self slipping on very rare occasions, whether by accident such as when Metal Sonic/Kyle escapes him or on purpose such as after killing Sally/Rachel and before he kills both Eggman and Tiara. In very few cases does his pupils not shrink when near a victim, such as when Amy/Marie first sees him and when fighting Metal Sonic/Kyle.

Outside of taking the form of Sonic, he is depicted as a shape resembling the iconic hedgehog, but with red tones at where the spines are and black in other spots, as shown in SONIC: New Beginning.

The Tale[]

Sentic currently resides in a USB containing the three most popular SEGA Genesis Sonic games and a disc containing Sonic CD, but how he got there remains unknown.

The game starts out normally. Strangely, Green Hill Act 1 has no enemies, rings, springs, collapsing ground, or even monitors. Eventually, Sonic encounters a gray ring. Entering it, he is taken to a modified Special Stage. Touching the Goal Blocks kills him, but if you collect the Chaos Emerald, it changes nothing as a mysterious entity changes the words to "YOU FOOL.", killing him regardless.

Afterwards, Sonic is taken to a version of Green Hill with a black sky, decaying plants, and just about no wildlife. Eventually, he encounters a Power Sneakers Item Box. Spinning into it, he is left out of control as he hits more boxes that speed him up further, causing him to collide with a spiked wall and die.

This is followed up with a grayed-out version of Marble Zone Act 2 called TURN BACK. As Sonic traverses the area and avoids the lava, he ends up in a room where pillars crush him. Despite his best efforts, he dies again. Touching the lava kills Sonic, causing a death either way.

Ending it off is YOUR FATE, a distorted version of Spring Yard's boss arena, where Sentic makes his first true appearance in what is described as his "pre-form", and he vanishes as soon as the floor crumbles under Sonic, killing him a fourth time.

This sub-game takes place in WITHOUT YOU, a corrupted version of Green Hill Act 2 that proves a challenge to get through as only the ground elements are present (no springs, collapsible ground, and bridges) and Sonic jumps at random. By the end of it, though, Sonic collapses to the ground, exploding soon enough. His remains are then reassembled and he is ultimately possessed by Sentic, ready for the first round to truly begin.

Starting off with The Hills, a mix of Green Hill's 3 acts, Tails runs and jumps, but eventually, he stumbles upon an area with dead plants, no chance to turn back. As he walks further along, he encounters "Sonic" standing with his back to a palm tree. Despite approaching him, Tails quickly has second thoughts and walks right past, though gets Sentic's attention as he immediately gives chase. Despite the best efforts, any attempt to escape is for naught due to invisible barriers keeping him trapped. Upon getting caught, Tails falls to the ground as Sentic re-appears with a rope. Using this rope, he strangles Tails killing him off-screen.

Next along is Knuckles (true name Noah, not revealed in the game), who starts off in Sky Sanctuary. As he makes his way along, however, a flash is shown as the sky darkens along with the ruins. Sure enough, Sentic awaits Noah at the end, engaging him in a boss fight while Dr. Eggman flies along in the distance. After succeeding, Noah lets his guard down and laughs, believing he defeated Sentic. However, Sentic climbs back up to his level and ambushes him, tearing off his legs before sending him plummeting to Angel Island's surface while striking Eggman's Egg Mobile in the process before following the doctor. Noah is left to helplessly crawl through Ice Cap before he finally succumbs to the winter and freezes to death.

With Noah dead, all that leaves is Eggman, who advances through a desolate Metropolis Zone after managing to land in one piece. After scaling through the factory with its multiple routes, he comes across a dead end, with Sentic walking towards him from the corridor he just came through. Just when it looks like he's cornered, Eggman makes a leap of faith and tries to flee for his life, but trips up as Metal Sonic shows up to keep Sentic away from the doctor. However, Metal is quickly disposed of, with Sentic approaching Eggman, revealing himself for the first time and making his last kill.

Following Eggman's off-screen demise, Sentic reminisces on the events that had happened, seeing that despite the window of hope each victim got, they were all doomed to fall, and taunts you about how you gave the victims a false sense of hope, knowing too well what was going to happen after the first blood. But not just the First (Sonic). There was also the Second (Tails), the Third (Noah), and the Last (Eggman). He uses those deaths and claims that he and you are no different from each other. After his speech is over, the "GAME OVER" text reappears one last time, with Sentic stating audibly that he wishes to "take a closer look at you", before the game closes.

Once Sentic crashes the game, a new text file called "Kyle" appears. Apparently, its writer survived Sentic's attack due to their vessel being extremely durable, making him ready to make his tormentor pay, hinting to open the game again.

The last sub-game shows Metal Sonic, going through an unnamed Oil Ocean Act 1 after it was revealed that he survived being knocked down in Metropolis. Throughout the level, Sentic is surprised that the player is still not done with the game and realizing he still left one "insignificant soul" on the move. He continues to taunt the player as they get ever closer to him, and when Metal Sonic reaches him, it's revealed that he, the last soul, and Kyle are one and the same. With this a boss fight between him and Sentic kicks off, with Oil Ocean being set ablaze midway through the fight as lava replaces the oil in the background.

After enough hits, however, a blow causes Sentic's face to be cracked, managing to anger the entity as he makes his chase after Kyle. Unfortunately for him, Kyle escapes and Sentic trips up, destroying his disguise, and with them, all pretence of patience he had left. The text file shown after it closes mentions that Sonic's fate was sealed as a result of Sentic's meltdown, with his remains set to create a new vessel for him to continue his terror with. He has also made it a big point to go after Kyle and make him suffer for his defiance.

Sometime after his beginning, more victims have fallen into their world after trying to investigate the disappearances of their friends. Your close friend who's brother has disappeared found a strange CD and had police to investigate it. However, he disappeared not long after.

You find the CD and you feel a strange presence within it. It felt the USB you found not too long ago. Even at all odds, you had to know what happened to those people. Once you insert the CD onto your laptop...

Your old friend has returned.

After the events of SONIC: New Beginning, Sentic returns in SALLY: Broken Heart, formerly known as Sally.EXE Retake (although he made his first appearance in this game by release date). After the deaths of Tails, Noah, Eggman, and possibly two other victims as well as Kyle's escape, Sentic decided that it was time to introduce the player to a new bunch of souls to lead to their deaths.

The first of these is Amy Rose, as always. Making her way to Peaceful Hill Zone (aka Emerald Hill), the player has to guide the girl through some platforms in order to progress further. With the lack of enemies, the only real threat seems to be the many pitfalls littering the level.

By this point, you know exactly what kind of game you're playing.

Journeying further into the level, and the true image of the level starts to appear. The skies above Amy and the grass below turn dark as the ocean suddenly turns blood red. The trees withered as the girl made her way into the level.

Waiting at the end of the level is Sonic, back turned to the other hedgehog onscreen. Amy tries to get his attention, only for him to suddenly run off right behind her, much to Amy's confusion. Amy tries to follow her idol before Sonic suddenly reappears, spinning into her with such force that her head is ripped clean off. Sonic, or Sentic, stops to catch Amy's head, turns to the camera, and laughs. The name of the soul in Amy is revealed: Marie.

Next up is Cream the Rabbit, stuck in an icy tomb known as Lonesome Frost, a much harsher version of Ice Cap Zone. The poor girl has been here for a while, and can do little but slowly walk and shiver. Even when encountering the frozen corpse of Knuckles, she is unable to react. Eventually, the young rabbit encountered a chasm, the only way forward being a dingy bridge. Unfortunately for her, Sentic appeared yet again, destroying the bridge with her on it.

Cream is now stuck at the bottom of the pit, suffocating under the freezing water. Trapped with no way out, the girl could do little but wander whatever room was there in the bottom. There is no exit. There is no escape. There is no way to save her, and any sort of control you have is simply helpless. The rabbit succumbed to her gruesome fate, gasping for air that would not come to her, stuck far above the surface of the water. Her eyes would slowly bleed out as her body went limp and finally floated to the surface, too late for her to breathe. Her name was Alice.

Lastly is Sally herself, stuck in a flaming landscape known as Broken Heart, which was Oil Ocean after the battle between Sentic and Kyle. Unlike before, the lava in the background also replaced the foreground oil. The smoldering heat would make it hard to see, as the waves of lava below distorted the vision of both Sally and the player. In the distance, Sally would find Sonic, staring longingly over the edge, before suddenly turning to Sally and kissing her, with the chipmunk reciprocating the feeling. However, while she was distracted, Sonic, or Sentic, would lift up the girl and throw her into the fiery pit below, melting her alive. Sally's name was Rachel when she was alive.

Three souls, and it should have been the end, but Sentic has prepared one final victim for you. The final act is upon you now.

Enter Tiara, the scrapped character meant to be in the cancelled Sonic X-Treme. Appearing in the same distorted version of Green Hill where Sonic met his second death (except with a proper background), Tiara slowly encounters the graves of each of Sentic's previous victims, their corpses on display for those who see them to piece together how they all died...

All except one.

Tiara inspects this grave before Sentic appears behind her, kicking her down and revealing his true self. Tiara tries to crawl away, only for Sentic to kick her down once more, before killing her with one Spin Dash. However, there's one more thing that makes this death different.

HERE LIES YOU.

Sentic's world will be your new home, but you're still on the other side of the screen. Don't worry, though, because he will take care of that soon enough. You'll reunite with his other playthings soon enough, and you two will cross paths once more. Just remember:

YOU ARE NEXT.

Sometime after Broken Heart, having claimed a lot of lives by that point, Sentic now plans to unleash a massive endgame scheme that might spell the end of the world, and likely net him more souls to play with in the process.

With no time left to sit at the sidelines, rebellion must be brought in if there's any chance of stopping the menace once and for all. So now, it's up to you to guide Jessica and Kyle to victory through unique challenges that deviate greatly from the classic formula.

Will the three of you be able to stop Sentic for good, or is the Earth destined to meet its end via this Final Round?

Potential[]

  • Disguise: Self-explanatory. Sentic uses this most of the time, often to give the illusion to his victims that Sonic himself is trying to kill them.
  • Superspeed: Self-explanatory. While he can run like Sonic, he is able to do it on all fours as well, as seen with chasing Tails. It seems to have limits as he was unable to catch Kyle.
  • Super Strength: Also self-explanatory.
  • Fourth-Wall Awareness: Again, pretty self explanatory.
  • Soul Transferal: Upon killing someone, Sentic is able to take their soul and put it in a vessel resembling a Sonic character.
  • Sonic's Abilities: Self-explanatory. So far, the only moves demonstrated were the Spin Jump, the Drop Dash (used in the battle between him and Kyle), the Super Peel-Out (used to try and catch Kyle), the Spin Attack (used in the battle against Noah and then on Marie), and the Spin Dash (used on Tiara). As of the moment, the Insta-Shield is not yet shown.
  • Illusions: Before killing Eggman, eyeless apparitions of Tails and Noah appear in front of the doctor.
  • Debug Mode: Unlike the other abilities, it's far more limited than it seems as when fighting Kyle, as the only things he could summon there were monitors. For reasons unknown, while shields and Speed Shoes apply to him, rings apply to the player character. Extra Life monitors as well as Invincibility seem to damage him.

Trivia[]

  • If the player dies too many times in Peaceful Hills before the level shifts, Sentic will actually get upset and close the game on you.
    • Dying in the Hills before the dead plants section simply has a message pop up, saying that there are no secret paths.
  • Devy is not exactly sure how Alice and Noah's body even ended up in Lonesome Frost/Ice Cap, responding with "top 10 questions scientists still can't answer to this day".
    • SONIC: New Beginning reveals that Noah was thrown down there after the Sky Sanctuary battle, leading to his frozen demise.
      • A rather strange oddity is that in SONIC: New Beginning, Noah's body is missing its legs, but in SALLY: Broken Heart, his legs are whole.
  • His victims do not turn into EXEs or slaves when they die. They simply die.
  • Vanilla the Rabbit was originally supposed to be in the place of Tiara as the fourth victim, but was changed sometime in development due to literally no one using her. The extra character was added to mix things up at the point where the story would normally end.
    • Sentic's usage of Tiara however begins far before her appearance in Broken Heart, thanks to Sentic's unintentional creation.
  • The original script for SALLY: Broken Heart was shared on DeviantArt, and can be found here.
  • Depending on the game, the characters' appearances change to be accurate, as seen with Tails and Noah having new sprites much closer to the Sonic 1 style due to SONIC: New Beginning resembling the aforementioned game.
    • An oddity seen here is that despite having a classic appearance introduced in Sonic CD, Marie uses Amy's modern design. This may be due to SALLY: Broken Heart's "commercial" showing gameplay from the Sonic 2: Pink Edition ROM hack, where Amy uses her modern appearance like in this game.
    • Sonic CD used to be the only mainline "classic" Sonic game to not be featured in Sentic's games, him using Sonic 1, 2, and 3/3&K. This has changed with an upcoming DLC.
    • However, Sentic seems to mix and match elements from each game, as Lonesome Frost resembles Ice Cap, which came from Sonic 3 rather than 2. Also. Noah's levels are in Sky Sanctuary and Ice Cap, Eggman's is in Metropolis, and Kyle's is in Oil Ocean, none of them appearing in Sonic 1.
  • The battle between Sentic and Kyle was the reason why Oil Ocean was on fire when Rachel arrives.
  • It's implied that the original Sonic.exe and Sally.exe stories could be canon to Sentic and that the Chinelin SONIC video could exist separately from him in canon as one of the trailers for SALLY: Broken Heart mentions that his past tricks were stolen from somewhere else.
  • Kyle is the only character who managed to survive Sentic's onslaught, unlike the majority of Sonic characters who fell victim to him during the series. This makes him Sentic's arch-nemesis.
    • This is due to the Metal Sonic vessel being more durable than the others.
  • Sentic has his own alternate future counterpart that he could evolve into.

Broken Heart (Script/Game) Differences[]

The original script and the game version has couple differences. They will be listed here.

  • The intro sequence plays differently.
    • In the draft, the title screen plays normally until the background dims black.
    • In the game version, the background is completely black with no music playing.
    • The message that Sentic says is also different between versions.
  • In the draft, the first level was simply called "PEACEFUL", while the game version labels it as "PEACEFUL HILL"
    • The rest of Amy's section is identical with only a small sentence change after encountering the dead hill section.
  • The levels for Cream in the draft version was titled "LONELY ICE" and "GRUESOME DEATH" respectively. In the game version, they were named "LONESOME FROST" and "GRUESOME FATE" respectively.
  • In the draft, Sentic ties off a bridge rope while he presses a button in the game version.
    • Besides this difference, Cream's section remains identical to both versions.
  • A voice can be heard after selecting Sally. This does not happen in the game version.
  • Besides some dialogue differences, just like Cream, Sally's section is identical in both versions.

Levels[]

Green Hill Zone Act 1 is the first level in the game, and serves as an introduction to the game itself.

The Stage[]

Being one of the first levels, the game starts out as normal. The layout is akin to the original Act 1 level, albeit with no hazards, rings or power-ups to be found. The only thing of note is the goal post and a gray Special Stage ring next to it.

Gallery[]

The Special Stage is the second stage of the game after Sonic goes through a gray ring from the previous level.

The Stage[]

The Special Stage plays identical to an actual Sonic 1 Special Stage, with all elements present. Touching a Goal Block has everything turn gray and red, with the Blocks going from "GOAL" to "DEATH", killing Sonic. If the Chaos Emerald is collected, the result screen pops up, only for it to glitch and the screen to say "YOU FOOL." with screaming in the background, killing Sonic regardless.

Gallery[]

Green Hill Zone Act 2 serves as a continuation from the previous special stage, as seen in the mini intro cutscene that plays at the start.

The Stage[]

Green Hill's grass here is now slightly dull, with the totems now showing either sad or happy faces as Sonic walks by. The background is also completely absent, as it is now just entirely black. At some point, a speed monitor can be found, in which Sonic can destroy it by rolling into it. This results in Sonic's second death in the game.

Trivia[]

  • The starting point of this level resembles a mirror to the start of Not Special Act 0.
  • This is notably the only Chinelin-based level where things play out exactly the same way as the original.

=Galler=y[]

Turn Back is level retake equivalent to Go Back from the original Sonic Chinelin creepypasta video.

The Stage[]

The level takes place in Marble Zone Act 2. The bricks are dark gray, and the grass is bit yellowish. The background consists of dark red clouds, a bit darker mountains, and strange red pillars. Spikes, enemies, and the lava before the corridor is missing. Touching that lava burns Sonic, but if he were to get away, he would encounter 5 pillars, each one bound to crush him.

Gallery[]

Trivia[]

  • Despite Turn Back supposedly being based on Go Back Act 9, the stage being a distorted version of Marble Zone could be a callback to The Blue USB, where after Green Hill, Sonic finds himself in a less-distorted Marble Zone.
    • The inverse is seen in Without You, wherein the Blue Pendrive's stage is a near-opposite to its namesake from Sonic 0

Your Fate is the final stage in the Sonic 0 section of the game.

The Stage[]

This is a dulled-out version of Spring Yard's boss arena. The city in the background is now replaced with desolate buildings. Sentic eventually walks out in his pre-form, and soon enough, a spike destroys the floor, revealing a pit with corrupted sprites at the bottom.

Gallery[]

Without You is the final stage of Sonic's section which also serves as the Blue Pendrive section of the game.

The Stage[]

The stage is pretty much the original Green Hill Act 2, except that everything is corrupted. Like this game's Green Hill Act 1, rings, enemies, hazards, and gimmicks are gone.

Gallery[]

Trivia[]

  • While WITHOUT YOU serves as the sole level of the Blue Pendrive section, the level itself seems to be based off its namesake from Sonic 0.
    • The original had a Green Hill that appears normal with corrupted Sonic sprites. Here, it's the reverse, wherein Green Hill's graphics and the HUD are corrupted while Sonic's sprites are normal. However, the character's sprite loading is messed up, similar to the original WITHOUT YOU.
    • The inverse is seen with Turn Back, where it's a Sonic 0 stage nearly mirroring a part of one of the Blue Pendrive's remakes.

The Hills is the first level in the Sonic.exe section of the game. Tails traverses through Green Hill, only to meet a breathless fate.

The Stage[]

In the first half, the level has bits and pieces from Green Hill Act 1 and 3. Like in the previous iteration, there are no enemies, rings, or anything. Midway, the level has its plant wildlife killed off, changing the iconic lush green to a dull brown.

Gallery[]

Sky Sanctuary is Knuckles' first stage in the Sonic.EXE section, and the second level in the game. It is the first zone to have the mini bossfight.

The Stage[]

The stage in the first half looks bit similar to the one seen in the original game, but in Sonic 1 style. In the second half, the clouds are gray, and the tiles begin to rot with decaying vines.

Gallery[]

Ice Cap Zone is the third level in the game, and Knuckles' second stage in the Sonic.EXE section. This is where Knuckles' gets frozen to death.

The Stage[]

Stage is pretty much identical to the original game except its more snowy.

Gallery[]

TBA

The Stage[]

Gallery[]

_____ (or Oil Ocean Zone as seen in-game) is the last and final stage of the first game. It is the second zone to have the mini bossfight.

The Stage[]

Starting in Metropolis, once Kyle breaks out, the rest of the level is Oil Ocean Act 1, except ALL of the mechanics do not work. Oil doesn't make him sink, ramps have no oil flow, and the fans and elevators are notably absent from their usual spots.

Teased through a post, this zone is set to appear in the next update of the game. However, it is unknown when this level would take place.

The Stage[]

The level itself seems to take place in Green Hill as it was seen in the Tokyo Toy Show prototype. The grass here is much more duller than before (as well as the trees), the mountains sports a dark gray color, and the cloud and buildings are red.

Gallery[]

Labyrinth Zone is a suppose upcoming level for Mighty in Lost Souls. However, due to the DLC being Sonic CD-focused, its most likely it will get replaced.

The Stage[]

Although it's unknown what the zone looks like due to the teaser only showing a section, it may take place in a dark version of the original zone.

Gallery[]

Peaceful Hill is the 13th stage of the series and the first level in the sequel game.

The Stage[]

The stage itself starts out as normal just like how it was in the original game. At some point, dull grass can be seen, in which static occurs. The water is now bloody, the sky is gray, and the flowers and trees are rotting.

Gallery[]

Lonesome Frost is the 14th stage of the series and the second level in the game.

The Stage[]

This has the same layout as Ice Cap Zone, except the snow is much harsher. Eventually, Cream encounters Sentic, who sends her to the next level, Gruesome Fate. In it, the flooded room resembles a reskinned version of Labyrinth Zone to be more blue. Cream drowns after some time.

Trivia[]

  • Prior to this, one remake of Sally.exe had a secret Cream death where she dies in a similar manner.

Gallery[]

TBA

The Stage[]

Gallery[]

Final Act is the 16th stage of the series and the last level in the sequel game.

The Stage[]

The stage itself appears to be a more distorted version of the Green Hill seen in Sonic's second death: decaying grass and no animals. This time, the Speed Shoes monitors, totems, and spikes are are missing, with a proper background, decaying flowers, and the gravestones of Sentic's past and future victims present. The grass is much worse, it nearly resembling the Hills' own decaying grass.

Gallery[]

Angel Island Zone is an upcoming stage and possibly one of the first levels in Rouge's story.

The Stage[]

Angel Island will presumably remain the same as it was in the original game.

Gallery[]

Rotten Hill Zone is an upcoming stage and (presumably) the second stage in the game in Rouge's Story.

The Stage[]

The stage sets place in Green Hill, now completely full rotten from Broken Heart.

Gallery[]

Launch Base Zone is one of the main levels set to appear in Kyle's Story.

The Stage[]

The zone seems to be slightly identical to the original, except the background uses the prototype version of it rather than the final.

Gallery[]

Green Hill Zone is a scrapped stage, which was meant to be the first stage in ROUGE: Final Round. It would eventually get replaced by Rotten Hill Zone.

The Stage[]

The zone is pretty much identical to the original.

Gallery[]

Trivia[]

  • Assuming that this was originally the first stage, it could have been possible that Final Round was gonna play differently.
    • However, it is unsure if it were to play just like how the original did it or not.

Victims[]

Sonic the Hedgehog appears as the first victim and Sentic's vessel. He's put through a series of deaths before the entity hijacks his code. He's notably the only victim that has no soul.

Appearance[]

Sonic appears the same way he does in Sonic 1 and Sonic CD. His idle sprite is different, with one of his feet now pointing at the screen rather than straight ahead.

Trivia[]

  • Sonic's reactions in TURN BACK and WITHOUT YOU hint that he and the other characters in the compilation could be alive even without a soul.
    • The second case of this hint is Tiara.
  • The things that kill Sonic in YOUR FATE are corrupted sprites of himself.

Tails is the second playable character in SONIC: New Beginning. He goes through The Hills, only to encounter dead plants and Sentic, who chased and strangled him.

Appearance[]

Tails appears in the style of Sonic 1, contrary to how SEGA themselves used his Sonic 2 sprites directly for Sonic 1. Only difference from the real Tails is that he sports blue shoes in that style.

Trivia[]

  • The sprites shown in the game were made by deltaConduit, albeit with the outdated sprites.
  • Unlike Noah, how Tails died was never directly shown in both SONIC: New Beginning and SALLY: Broken Heart, the former having only noise and both having a split second of what can be seen. Connecting these together has two implications, both having Sentic take his corpse and hang it up in Emerald Hill.
    • 1 - The most likely is that Sentic jumped on Tails, pinned him down, and gripped the rope until the fox choked out.
    • 2 - Sentic potentially hung Tails using one of Green Hill's dead trees.

Noah is the third playable character in SONIC: New Beginning. He goes through Sky Sanctuary, fights Sentic, and seemingly wins, only to have his legs ripped off and thrown down to Ice Cap to freeze to death. He makes a minor appearance in SALLY: Broken Heart, where Alice walks by his somehow-whole corpse.

Appearance[]

Noah appear as Knuckles, but in the style of Sonic 1. In SALLY: Broken Heart, his vessel now resembles Knuckles' original Sonic 3 appearance rather than using a new appearance closer to Sonic 2.

Trivia[]

  • The sprites shown in New Beginning were made by deltaConduit, albeit with the outdated sprites.
  • Noah is shown to be somewhat cocky as he laughs after "defeating" Sentic.
  • Noah himself is the only victim to be named outside of any of the Lost Drive games.
  • Noah's vessel using the Sonic 3 style in SALLY: Broken heart may be due to Knuckles in Sonic 2 using Knuckles' original sprites directly as opposed to changing his style.
    • Ironically, Sonic 3 had a prototype where Sonic and Tails remain unchanged from Sonic 2, and there, Knuckles had a different style.

Dr. Eggman is the fourth playable character in SONIC: New Beginning. First appearing in Sky Sanctuary, he gets his Eggmobile damaged by Sentic after Noah is thrown down. He lands in Metropolis Zone, explores for a bit, and gets cornered by Sentic. Following his failed attempt to escape, he saw his tormentor's true face.

Appearance[]

Dr. Eggman appears exactly the same as in Sonic 1 and CD. However, he has new walking animations, his original running animation being when he runs.

Trivia[]

  • Eggman is the only victim to have the exact same death as in the original creepypasta. Difference is his failed escape, the Tails and Noah apparitions, and how he trips over first.
    • Likewise, it's never seen just what happened to him before FINAL ACT in the following game.

The final playable character in SONIC: New Beginning and the current major protagonist of the series, actively doing his part in defying Sentic with the hope of destroying him once and for all.

Appearance[]

Kyle, in his Metal Sonic vessel, takes on the form of the titular robot with his sprites identical to those from Sonic CD, albeit with the character's iconic red eyes in contrast to the grey from the original game. While running, he's shown doing the wheel-feet run rather than flying horizontally, up until he begins his escape following his fight with Sentic.

Trivia[]

  • While unconfirmed, Kyle could potentially be Sentic's equivalent to Kyle Scott from the original story.
  • In his escape, Kyle's flight sprites bear a resemblance to those from Metal Sonic in Sonic 2.

This unnamed Mighty victim is revealed as the first playable character for Lost Drive's unnamed DLC.

Appearance[]

Mighty appears the same way as normal, except he can only be seen if you brighten the teaser. Given the other victims, it's likely that he's been restylized to match Sonic 1 and CD.

An unnamed Fang victim has been teased as another playable character in the DLC for Lost Drive.

Appearance[]

Fang still resembles himself, albeit with sprites matching the style of Sonic 1 and Sonic CD.

Marie is the first playable character in the sequel game, as well as being the fourth victim in the series. In the game, she makes her way through Peaceful Hill (aka Emerald Hill), in which she encounters "Sonic". When turning back, she gets her head chopped off by Sentic rolling into her.

Appearance[]

Unlike the other victims with Genesis-era origins, Marie's vessel uses Amy's modern appearance instead of her "classic" one, the sprites she uses coming from Sonic 2: Pink Edition.

Alice is the fifth victim in the series and the second playable character in the sequel game. She appears in Lonesome Frost (Ice Cap Zone) walking through cold, in which she encounters Sonic while being under the bridge. As a result, Sonic jumps on the button, causing her drowning death in the next level.

Appearance[]

Alice's vessel looks exactly like Cream, mostly based off her sprites in Sonic 2: Pink Edition.

Trivia[]

  • While unconfirmed, Alice could potentially be Sentic's equivalent to Alice Sonata from the original story.
    • Aside from name, both Alices happen to have Cream the Rabbit as their ingame forms.

Rachel is the sixth victim in the series as well as being the third character you play as in the sequel game. She dies by getting burned after being thrown by Sentic.

Appearance[]

Rachel takes on the appearance Sally Acorn. The sprites used are the one made by E-122-Psi.

Trivia[]

  • Sentic's line before Rachel burns is a complete inverse of the original line in Sally.exe.

Are you looking for alternative version of this character? It's you, the current player of Sentic's games.

Appearance[]

Regardless of appearance, Sentic has already chosen your vessel: Tiara from the cancelled Sonic X-Treme, restylized to match Sonic 2.

Trivia[]

  • Tiara's sprites are taken from a WIP set by CartoonAnimates22 and downgraded to a Sonic 2-esque palette.
  • Tiara's reaction to Sentic hints that she and the other characters in the compilation could be alive even without a soul.
    • This is seen again with Sonic.
  • Originally, the player's vessel could have been Vanilla the Rabbit as she was in Tiara's place in the script.
    • Instead of a grave, she would encounter Cream (or rather Alice), with Sentic killing her being a simple lunge rather than the Spin Dash.

Jessica is the final victim in the series, appearing in the upcoming game, ROUGE: Final Round. She is set to appear as a playable character in her own story.

Appearance[]

Her sprites take on the appearance of Rouge the Bat, specifically the ones made by AsuharaMoon.

Kyle is a returning victim from SONIC: New Beginning, who will appear in ROUGE: Final Round. He is set to appear as a playable character in his own story.

Appearance[]

He pretty much appears as he does in the original game and the series as a whole.

Shadow is an upcoming character set to be featured in ROUGE: Final Round. It's currently unknown what his role is, but the creator stated that "he may or may not play an important role" in the game.

Appearance[]

It's currently unknown what his appearance looks like in-game at this time, but it's most likely he would appear how he does in the Sonic series.

Vanilla the Rabbit is a scrapped character that was suppose to appear in the last level of SALLY: Broken Heart. In the original draft, she would've been the final victim and your vessel, sobbing about her now-deceased daughter (potentially Alice in the final game's context), as Sentic kills Vanilla, resulting in the game glitching and crashing.

Appearance[]

It's currently unknown what her appearance looks like in-game, but it may be identical to her canon appearance in the official Sonic games, restyled the same way Tiara was in the final game.

Audio[]

Music as they appear in the series.

Outcome Memories (Concept)[]

A small concept for Sentic appearing in the Roblox game, Outcomes Memories, was published on GameJolt, explaining how he would have worked if he appeared in the game.

Abilities[]

Name Keybind Damage Description
ROPE LASHER TBA 6 (Normal)
8 (Rage)
Sentic will take out a rope and throw it at the nearest player. If caught, the player will get strangled by the neck, sustaining scratch damage until either they break free, another survivor attacks Sentic, or Sentic throws the survivor a distance away.

If Sentic is unable to catch any player within range, he will instead set a trap down where he's standing. Players who trigger it will be stuck for about 5 seconds and lose 12 HP (16 HP when Rage Mode is active), this brief window also giving away their location to Sentic.
DISGUISE TBA N/A Sentic will disguise as any of the characters that are NOT chosen by players during the round. They can press the action button (or let the disguise timer run out) to go back to his original form at any point.
RAGE MODE N/A 30% More Damage This passive ability cannot be activated manually. It will be activated if Sentic's disguise eyes shatter after getting stunned or knocked over by a survivor. Once this happens, Crimtake will lose his temper with the survivors for half a minute, allowing him to deal 30% more damage to any survivor he attacks until his disguise is repaired.
