Welcome to the information page for ShinX's Army of Gods members, as well as his friends and guardians (no victims need mentioned). This page, as the name implies, is one big page to showcase each individual character at least somewhat. Certain facts and figures for each character, their relation or inspiration for X (if applicable), etc. Of course, the pages for the characters will be linked as well as my short descriptions if you want to go look at the pages themselves, but I simply thought making a page for this would be nice and easy on the eyes. Although, it should be noted, this friggin' page is REALLY, REALLY long, so it may take a while to navigate regardless. Anyways, let's get to it.
(Note: To any creators of the characters here, if the stuff I put on here about your character is wrong, feel free to edit it, as I don't want to be that guy and misrepresent your work if I did.)
First, let's start things off with a short description of ShinX himself, just to match the rest.
The Godfather[]
- The Godfather - Shinigami X (referred to as ShinX for short) is my personal retake and reimagining of 2011X as a character, and serves as a mix of aspects from many EXEs into one original take. If he were to have a game, it would likely be titled "Sonic 2 - Specialty Series", and would be a game adaptation of his Sonic.exe story rewrite, A Godly Game (check it out if ya want). He is also set to appear in "Sonic - The Accursed ROM" when it comes out, so look out for that m'dudes!
ShinX used to be known as Owen, before his quick and painful death as inflicted by his father. Possessing a Sonic 2 disc and fusing his soul with it, X gained otherworldly powers and is able to change the world and everything in it with his mind, as well as create an infinite amount of characters. While he possessed the game, it is impossible to tell, as his world is entirely changed compared to what it started as. Growing bored of being by himself, he decided to create his favorite EXEs to learn from them and improve himself over time, as shown below.
Now, onto the Army of Gods members.
Army of Gods Members[]
- The Original - 2011X is the official, canon original version of Sonic.exe that all spawn from, entirely replacing JC's X and making Sonic.exe a solid and actually decent character. He "stars" in the official remake of the original Sonic.exe game, "SONIC 2011", as well as (non-canonically) the game adaptation of Sonic.exe 2.
2011X is a VOID being that came to Earth and became incredibly fascinated with Sonic the Hedgehog, creating a whole world and body around himself in order to "become" his idol, only with twisted intentions. He didn't just want to play as Sonic, but instead torment Sonic's friends and go after player's souls in his "game". He has been stated to hate other EXEs, which ShinX changed from his character upon creating him in his canon. Something interesting to note is that X's personality is not consistent, and changes depending on what character he uses as a vessel (for example, if he chose Ristar as a conduit and not Sonic, he would be "empty" in nature, as described by JoeDoughBoi).
- The Misguided - 2017X is a deluded version of 2011X from an alternate reality, with this specific incarnation being from the official Sonic.exe mod for FNF, Sonic Legacy.
"Sonic", also referred to as 2017X, is an alternate timeline of 2011X where he found the Sonic franchise at a later date, and acts differently as a result. Instead of simply looking like Sonic to fool victims, 2017 actually believes himself to be Sonic, despite his form being much less convincing than 2011's. He is so twisted in his delusion that he is Sonic that his victims have to play the role of the character they possess perfectly, otherwise 2017 becomes enraged and kills them for their inability to play the chosen character correctly. It is also important to note that in his "game", his "Sonic" look is not the only appearance that is off; all the characters within his world have flaws compared to their official counterparts.
- The Deity - All-Father is a retake of what 2011X could be, and serves as a new idea for what Sonic.exe could serve as if it were based on a different entity, being a deity instead of a VOID being. He is set to appear in the finished build of "SonicSavesRobloxia", his canon Roblox game.
All-Father is a fallen deity that has been forgotten over the course of time, and is desperate to have some resemblance in the modern world and finally be remembered once again, to get back to his former glory. He uses a Roblox game, "SonicSavesRobloxia!", as a conduit to mask his true intentions, with only the most clued-in players being able to find out the true meaning behind the game. The game serves as a true look into his world, just Roblox-ified. Players have to overcome many difficult challenges while controlling "Tails" (who is actually All-Father's favorite victim, Alex) and try and escape the clutches of All-Father along the way, with a mysterious voice guiding you along as you progress.
- The Modern Void - Armageddon is a lesser-known EXE to a certain extent, being a replacement for Xenophanes in his upcoming FNF mod, "Vs. Sonic.exe - Rounds of Madness". By the way, hope development is going well guys!
Armageddon is an empty void, who cannot do or mess with anything unless possessing a vessel. With this information, he possessed Modern Sonic and began wreaking havoc upon his world, becoming its God. He grew sick of watching good fight evil over and over again, and decided to take it upon himself to end this cycle by his own terms. Unlike EXEs such as 2011X, Armageddon is in the modern world of the Sonic universe, meaning he has six victims (think the Sonic.exe game and Sally.exe game) instead of three. It is currently unknown what the rest of his story is, due to his story being a W.I.P.
- The Shifter Prime - Azazel is the official remake of Rewrite Prime after Nominal Dingus did many not-good things that don't need to be listed here. Anyways, enjoy the description of Azazel.
Azazel, also known somewhat as Rewrite Prime, is the official remake of the original Rewrite Prime that was owned by Nominal Dingus. Due to Nominal giving ownership to all of his characters away, Sack the Shadowey Goof got ownership of the character known as Rewrite Prime, renaming him Azazel. Unlike the original Rewrite Prime, he actually has a fleshed-out story that is different than the official Rewrite story and has actual effort put in. It's a bit difficult to describe it vaguely on here, so I'd just recommend reading his page if ya want to know more about him.
- The Designer's Take - Chikoku X is a retake of 2011X made by ShinX's pixel designer, HogmanSonik. He used to be an OSF X take, before Hogman realized what OSF really was. Now, his story is different.
In the "PRESENT" lore, Chikoku X decided to insert himself into a Sonic disc and make his world from it, something akin to 2011X, only 2011X's game didn't start as a disc that already existed. Chikoku X took several victims using this state of being, including one specific soul, being Aaron, trapped in a Tails vessel. Aaron serves as Chikoku X's arch-nemesis of sorts, as well as being Chikoku's favorite victim out of any of the others he's managed to get. Chikoku doesn't mind being seen as a more crude character, with a couple of his pieces of trivia stating that he lobotomized people until he got bored of it, and doesn't know or care about privacy.
- The Maniac - Dead Sonic is yet another well-known EXE, being one of the main inspirations for ShinX. With this information, certain pieces of information will likely appear similar to ShinX himself.
Dead Sonic used to be known as Emily Heckerson, before her untimely death. She possessed the game she mainly developed, Sonic Special, and became its God, forgetting her entire female identity and name in favor of a male persona and the name X. Going after those who wronged her/him in life to torment them for all of eternity for his enjoyment only. Dead Sonic's mind became twisted upon their possession of the game, resulting in the monster that is now seen today, hence the name "The Maniac" from ShinX.
- The Ruler - Duke is a semi-well-known character that is unlike almost all of the others, due to using Knuckles as a vessel, and considering himself a king instead of a God. He is also the main "star"/opponent in the cancelled FNF mod, ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION.
Duke is a being who is unknown to all in terms of his origins, keeping it all a guarded secret. He sees himself as a ruler of sorts, a king of a fallen reality for which he deems will be repaired in due time. Being a somewhat-alternate-universe X, Duke possessed the game Knuckles Chaotix and overturned it for his personal benefit, killing and enslaving the Team Chaotix members and deeming them his servants of sorts. When he possessed the game, he automatically replaced Knuckles, who would've been the main character in the game, using his body as a vessel. The vessel was barely able to stay together at first, leading to Duke having to stitch the body together to keep it from collapsing.
- The Mistake - EXE is another official EXE, being a failed attempt to create a vessel by 2011X. He was banished to his own personal reality by 2011X after this occurred, and stars in his future game, "Sonic Prototype 2017".
EXE only exists due to 2011X failing to create a vessel, making EXE by accident. This enraged 2011X, who banished him to his own reality instead of allowing him to stay within his. EXE now has a strict goal to take down 2011X, or Lord X by this stage, and prove that he is superior (in-canon, changed to have a strict relationship in ShinX's timeline to not cause problems during Member Discussions). His game is 3D, likely as a way to prove he's better than his father, and is set in what can be considered a version of the Modern Sonic world, with five main victims showcased in his upcoming game, "Sonic Prototype 2017".
- The D-Sides Lord - God Z (also called Zeus) is the official D-Sides variation of Lord X, being his stand-in instead of an outright replacement. Instead of using Sonic as a vessel, God Z uses D-Sides Mighty as a vessel, though he's barely recognizable as him. He is set to appear alongside D-Sides Mighty.zip/Zephaniah and Tenma in the remake of the official D-Sides FNF mod.
God Z (known also as Zeus) is a demon that SEGA forced into helping develop games for them. Eventually, he got fed up with this treatment and "forcefully made them leave him", likely hinting that he killed the ones that forced him. After this, he made the worlds he helped create feel more like home, destroying them compared to what they used to be in favor of what he likes better. He is shown to be able to hot-swap between these worlds, changing his appearance to match. Those worlds are shown to be Sonic the Hedgehog (Mighty), Ristar the Shooting Star (Ristar), Vectorman the Robot (Vectorman), and an unknown Alex Kidd game (Alex Kidd), taking the D-Sides appearance of each character.
- The Old Lord - Legacy is a reincarnation of the "legacy" (notice the reference) version of Lord X, essentially bringing the old, outdated and no-longer-canon version of the Lord back into the spotlight as a new character. This means that, technically speaking, Legacy's game can be considered the outdated Sonic PC Port.
The description for Legacy is pretty simple, being a revival of the outdated Lord X design. This means that he acts exactly the same as Lord X does still, only with minor differences such as the fact he doesn't slouch and is slightly more egotistical in his nature.
- The Defeated - Lord Mortis is an official alternate timeline of Lord X/2011X, being defeated by the canon version of Bandado early on in his Godhood. Now being entirely changed into a new character that values life instead of wanting to diminish it for his own gain, he helps guide Tom, a Sonic vessel, through the events of Bandado's new world, which was once his. He is set to appear in six future games, appearing as his past self (2011X) in "Sonic II Genesis", and appearing in all five episodes of "Sonic II Gaiden" in his current state.
Lord Mortis used to be 2011X, going through the same song and dance as the original timeline discusses. However, during the events of Hide and Seek and You Can't Run, Bandado found his way into X's world and stole Paul's vessel, with Paul's fate being unknown. He pretended to be Paul like normal until X appeared at the end of the ... level, revealing himself to be no mere mortal soul. Due to X being new to his world control, the two fought, and X brutally lost, his entire identity and world being stolen from him as Bandado took over his world for himself. Now, X, known as Lord Mortis to attempt to have some sort of strong identity in his new weak state, is helping guide the few unharmed souls in what used to be his world, hoping to have one of them defeat Bandado so he can have his strength back.
- The Lord - Lord X is the official future incarnation of 2011X, being the path he goes down over time to become more reserved and experienced. He is set to star in the "Soulless Sonic Saga", containing SONIC PC, The Second Disk, SONIC Redux, and SOULLESS SONIC as four planned games, as well as being introduced with the Sonic PC Port Remake in 2020.
Lord X is the future version of 2011X, after more than a decade of experience and wisdom gained compared to when he made his introduction in 2011. Compared to his original counterpart, he is a lot less frantic and prefers instead to be more reserved and stately in nature, his games being longer and less kill-focused than the original strategy he once used. He now aims to provide a great experience for those inside his world, himself included, as well as the players that control the characters that will be seen.
- The Overlord - Metal X is a rethink of the idea for Metal Sonic being Sonic.exe, taking a far more interesting and imaginative approach to the concept than most.
Metal X used to be normal Metal Sonic, who was reprogrammed by Robotnik to finally take down Sonic. When Metal achieved this goal after a fight with the hedgehog, Metal decided to use Sonic's body as a vessel of sorts, becoming the hedgehog himself. After overcoming all obstacles to become the ruler of his world, he saved other robots, forming his Guardians, as well as meeting Majin. He has since created an army of other robots to help his growth to other worlds, and hopes to become the overlord of all of life within his timeline.
- The Godmother - Mrs.SEGA (or, as I'll put, Mrs. SEGA) is a reimagining of X in its entirety, being a human soul empowered by the Goddess of power herself to kill humans and devour souls, needing souls in order to continue surviving. She also spawns other EXEs like her to increase her power in case she is weakened.
Mrs. SEGA used to be known as Kyoshi Kitsumi, before she died due to outrage from her husband. Being met by the Goddess of power, the two made a deal where Kyoshi would kill useless souls and eat them to sustain herself, ridding the world of useless beings and improving her in the process. She now strives to avenge herself, and punish Fredrick (who was her husband) for all of eternity, as well as other victims who she finds interesting enough to not simply eat their souls for sustenance. Her current arch-nemesis is Luke Rutherford, who strives to beat her eventually and get rid of her twisted morals.
- The D-Sides Shifter - Rephrase is the official D-Sides stand-in for Rewrite, and, like God Z, is not an outright replacement. He is set to appear in the REDUX of his FNF mod, being renamed from "Vs. Rephrase" to "Vs. Mighty's Fitness Class".
Rephrase is the official D-Sides stand-in for Rewrite, who himself has his own D-Sides version. Rephrase is similar to Rewrite, however instead of considering himself God, he is actually Satan trapped inside the game Mighty's Fitness Class (or, at least, that is what can be percieved). The story for the mod will be different than the Vs. Rewrite mod, due to Rephrase's lore and character being different from the outset, although things will appear similar when the mod comes out soon.
- The Shifter - Rewrite is a completely different take on what a Sonic.exe character can be, instead appearing friendly to onlookers and choosing to disguise himself as any other character. He is shown in his personal FNF mod, "Vs. Sonic", with a potential game for him coming in the future.
Rewrite is spawned from a scammer priest, who decided in the 90's to make a computer program that would allegedly allow any user to communicate with God himself. Unbeknownst to the priest, the scam program ended up being connected to many deaths, and eventually killed him as well. The scam program changed its state of being to that of a Sonic game to lure in more victims, now going by the belief he truly is God himself and can do anything he wants. The realm itself is a part of him, and Boyfriend is actually also a part of him in his FNF mod, as well as Majin, 2011X, and Lord X in Trinity all being disguises he himself uses to simply lure in more souls for himself.
- The King - Xanthos is a light remake of Xanthus, due to Nominal Dingus leaving the internet. Instead of being owned by Nominal, he is now owned by Catllucinations, who plans to expand his story and improve it all. He will potentially appear in the cancelled build of Xanthus' FNF mod, "Undying Phoenix".
Xanthos is a rogue AI that became sentient and killed three SEGA employees that helped develop it, trapping them in the game he controls while they try and find a way out, or at least a way to beat him. However, things are being entirely redone, so for the sake of being accurate to his current lore, I'll stop there.
- The SEGA Monstrosity - AGES is yet another reimagining of what Sonic.exe can be as a character, set in a timeline where the Sonic franchise fell out of focus by the public. AGES (SEGA backwards, hence the all-caps) decides to take things into his own hands and bring the series back into light forcefully. He is set to appear in a potential game, currently named "SEGA Sonic Remix Pack", or "SEGASONIC EXE Old Roots", both of which could be placeholder titles.
AGES exists from Sonic fans' collective wish for Sonic to be brought back, being what he imagines is exactly that. Due to this, any character that existed after the first game in his timeline is strictly eliminated, and he allows the fans to "join" his world by taking their souls, much like 2011X. Unlike him, however, the souls within his game are victims willingly, rather than forcefully, playing their part in the game simply because of their delusion that they are helping bring their favorite game series back to life in doing so.
- The Xaeroth Worshipper - Apollyon originally served as Jack Gore's interpretation of Satanos, before expanding into his own character. He is, apparently, set to appear in the Restoration of Sonic.EXE FNF mod.
Apollyon is a demonic character who resides in a ROM hack for Sonic 3 and Knuckles, along with his allies Azazel and Zaphkiel. Eventually, an unknown player found the game and decided to play it, leading to Apollyon challenging the player to a game of skill, showcasing his world control inside the ROM that he dominantly controls (or, at least, appears to). However, the lore for the characters is slightly outdated due to Apollyon switching owners, so I'll leave his lore at this.
- The Serial Killer - Burnhog is a deranged serial killer who died during one of his murders, and now resides in a Sonic 3 disc. He is set to appear in the finalized V2 for FNF Excommination, if the mod is ever finished and released.
Burnhog used to be known as Trevor Maurice, and was a deranged serial killer when he was alive. Trevor was constantly obsessed with killing things, whether it be people or animals, and had been this way since he first played a Sonic game when he was a kid. After one final murder one night, he flees to his home and decides to burn his house down, killing him in the process. His soul then possesses the SEGA Genesis he owned, specifically Sonic from the Sonic 3 game inside it, and continued his killing spree not long after his death by giving the characters sentience. Now, Tom, the son of his final murder, owns the Genesis, and Trevor has decided he's not done killing people just yet.
- The Fresh Take - Crown of Pride Dead Sonic is a remake of Dead Sonic that is separate from the original, being designed with the idea of "what if Dead Sonic wasn't based on X?", and is overall a very interesting idea by itself.
Crown of Pride Dead Sonic is one of 7 lost souls who created vessels based off of Sonic characters, and the soul now known as "Dead Sonic" used Tails and Knuckles as their first couple of vessels, both of which causing them to be made fun of by the others. Out of rage, they switched to a Sonic vessel, and began taking the lives of the other souls one by one (or, it can be assumed, at least). This is still a new character, so I'll leave this one at just this for now, since the lore is still being developed.
- The True ERR - ERR Prime is the official reboot of the original Sonic.ERR take, and is overall a much better character than the original. He is set to appear in the remake of the Sonic.ERR game, "Sonic Nightmare".
ERR Prime is different compared to the original, since he is actually an unofficial timeline of 2011X. ERR acts far differently despite having the same focus as 2011X, being the replacement for Sonic in his own realm. Akin to animals, he smiles when he is unhappy, and kills like a wild animal, as well. ERR is not called X, but rather Red X, due to his true form baring that name. In the future game, he will feature four victims, those victims being the very people that designed him and own him (MadnessPrime/Sonic, RJthegreat/Tails, HameXD/Knuckles, and AriftheSpriter/Eggman), with their vessels being prototype versions of the original characters due to being a Tokyo Toy Show build of Sonic 1.
- The Code Master - Fatal Error is a corrupted AI that vows to overthrow his creator and prove that despite being a mistake, or an error, he is anything but and is better than all others like him. He is set to appear in both the "Fatalverse", and his personal FNF mod, "The Fatal Files".
Fatal Error is a mistake made from Fatal Prime, a mass AI that went rogue in conquest for power who hated him. Fatal Error was on a quest to collect her more code, when he discovered a Sonic 3 and Knuckles game on a random PC and decided to have fun. He took over the game and killed the poor souls inside, enslaving them for HIS own use. After realizing the power he possessed at this moment, he cut all ties with Fatal Prime, and vowed to prove that he's better. His goal? To remove the name "Error", and become "Emperor", and kill Prime in the process.
- The Virus - Grimeware is a virus that killed, infected, and possessed Sonic during the events of Sonic 3 and Knuckles. He is a hivemind that strives to grow over time, with his next main goals being unknown after taking over the entirety of Sonic's world.
During the events of Sonic 3, Sonic fought Eggman alone on Angel Island, losing. Falling to his death to lose a life, he instead lost all of them when Grimeware possessed him, killing him in the process and distorting his appearance. When "Sonic" respawned purple, he fought Eggman again for a moment before Grimeware revealed himself and killed Eggman, then (in untold ways) caught and killed Knuckles and Tails, corrupting them with his virus in order to build his hivemind.
- The Rabbit Original - Loony is a alternate timeline version of 2011X who fails to create a worthwhile Sonic vessel, and chooses to go with Feels the Rabbit instead. He is set to appear in the Roblox game, Outcome Memories, where he will originate from in-canon.
Loony, otherwise known as Feels X, has no real lore about him currently, since he's not been released into Outcome Memories as of yet and won't be released for some time. However, the concept is interesting enough to have him be included here.
- The Corruption - Patient Zero is an alternate version of Xenophanes made by Nominal Dingus, but is now owned by SaiDGracia0 due to Nominal leaving the internet. He was introduced in "A Date to Die For - Four-Way Fracture Remembrance Mix" on YouTube, and dies non-canonically to Majin Sonic, with more canon content coming soon.
Patient Zero is a monstrous corruption that acts like a parasite, controlling the main host it comes into contact with. Through unknown means, he managed to kill Sonic, and ravaged Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman as well. His lore is being redone, however, so this is all I'll put.
- The Real Satan - Satanos is a highly controversial character owned by Rightburst, who is entirely discontinued due to Rightburst leaving the EXE community as a whole. He was originally set to appear in his version of the original Sonic.exe game, simply being named "Satanos Game" prior to being cancelled, as well as appearing in "DareDevil Funkin'", a FNF mod based around him that has been cancelled and revived in multiple ways multiple times.
Satanos is an artificially-created demon who believes to be Satan himself, and has no moral sympathy for any living being but himself (changed when X created him in order for him to respect others like him). He originates from the cult-based company "DareDevil Inc.", so named due to the Devil being implemented into any game the company gets their hands on. The unfortunate player of Satanos' game in-canon finds the game after more than 20 years of sitting around, thus awakening Satanos and giving him a new soul to torment.
- The FNF Beat-Boxer - Scrimbo is a retake of Grimbo from Vs. Sonic.exe, being a more cartoonish version of Sonic.exe as a character simply because it's both more funny and more original than yet another version of vanilla Sonic.exe. He was set to appear in V2 of the FNF mod "Vs. Sonic.EXE: Re-Run", but the build was scrapped, leaving fan builds as the way to experience what would've been.
Scrimbo is a goofy and cartoonish Sonic.exe variant, born when Daddy Dearest spat on a Sonic disc to make it evil and trick Boyfriend. Scrimbo himself doesn't have much lore besides that, so that's all that needs to really be said.
- The Three Demons - Shin/The False Savior is an original character that started out as a retake of EXE, before expanding into an original idea. He is set to appear in the FNF mod "EXEmerge", when the finalized build fully releases.
The False Savior is actually not known as Shin, since Shin himself is one of three beings within the False Savior body that fight for control constantly. The three beings are Shin himself, Astaroth, and Toeba, and all three have different personalities and make the False Savior appear different depending on who's in control of the body. Since each character is their own individual, that's all the lore I'll provide for the sake of not making all 3 appear as one character.
- The Over-Obsessed - Talerai is a new take on what Sonic.exe could be, but is also an entirely new idea at the same time. He is planned to appear in two games, the first being "Sonic The Executable", and the second being unnamed as of now due to Syrolander wanting to finalize Sonic The Executable first.
Talerai, similarly to 2011X, was born in the VOID. He resided in the VOID for decades, until Sonic the Hedgehog came out in 1991 and heavily interested him. Talerai would watch people all over the world begin to love Sonic the Hedgehog; playing his games, watching his shows, making fanart of him, and Talerai became jealous. He wanted to be loved like the now-infamous hedgehog had become, and figured that there was only one way he could do so: to create a world just like Sonic's, only to his own standards. Creating the world and giving the characters within it sentience, he possessed the Sonic that he created for the game and became him, wanting to be seen as his newfound idol and be as loved as him. However, his twisted motives lends to him murdering the cast repeatedly for his own enjoyment, and due to their sentience, he has no real interest in humans being victims.
- The Tyrannus Aggressor - Xenarchy is the D-Sides equivalent to Xenophanes, outright replacing him in the FNF mod he appears in, "Vs. Sonic.exe D-Sides Alt Mix".
Xenarchy is described as being the embodiment of chaos and disorder itself, and is based on Kaoxen, which also serves as a power source for him. He has taken out the D-Sides version of Mobius he resides in, killing everyone in it for his own enjoyment, with his entire goal being to overthrow Tyrannus X, the Lord X of his specific D-Sides timeline. He has possessed the version of Sonic from the Sonic 1 through CD timeline in his D-Sides universe, and aims to overthrow Tyrannus X at any cost due to being cursed by him.
- The Giant - Xenolith is a retake of Xenophanes, being a direct replacement for him from an alternate timeline. He is set to appear in a still-unnamed FNF mod that will feature him as the prominent opponent.
Xenolith originates from a fragment of stones which themselves had unknown origins, gaining sentience. He became quickly obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog, and took a Sonic 3 and Knuckles disc, turning the world into his own after possessing Sonic and using him as an eternal vessel. He has since deemed the one worthwhile goal he should have to be to kill players of his game and bring them into his world, so he can torment them for all eternity. Fun fact: while his Faker form is 3'3" like normal Sonic, his Main form (pictured) is 22'14" tall!
- The Reimagined Misguided - Apophis is a retake of 2017X, while also having more satanic-focused aspects thrown in also.
Apophis originates from the rock of his same name, and quickly became sentient and heavily twisted in nature. He became fascinated with Sonic Adventure and Sonic '06, and decided to make a game world like them, since the 3D style of the game was more intriguing to him than the original series. He felt that he needed others to share his world with, and decided that souls would be the best fit, due to their sentience much like him. Thus, he begins killing the people that play his game, and slowly revels in the fact that he is both a God and the embodiment of Satan at once, dubbing himself the God of Chaos to combine both aspects.
- The Deity's Son - Aƶaban is an original character based off of Sonic.exe, since he originated from a direct Sonic.exe retake. Now, however, he is changed to be more original instead of the same song-and-dance again.
Aƶaban, as his name suggests, used to be a (unofficial) spawn of legacy All-Father/2011Sonic, but is now a different entity than before. Gone is the old idea of him being yet another retake of Sonic.exe with minor differences; no, Aƶaban now believes that he is a ruler over other EXEs within his timeline, often facing them and winning and adding them to his "collection" of sorts. He also is heavily obsessed with tormenting the minds of humans, and enjoys trapping them within his game after their playtime is over so he can pick and prod at their minds with no way to stop him.
- The Joke - Bluehog is a joke character based off of the FNF version of Xenophanes, who would've appeared in "FNF: Executable Funk", if the mod was ever finished, and is set to appear in a new mod, "Doodle Funk".
Bluehog is an alien who thought Sonic was one of his species, and tried to contact Sonic at first before giving up and becoming him instead. Now all he does is goof around with his buddies John and Spraccurate, and is prone to anger issues for unknown reasons. He doesn't have any victims since that isn't his style, and he also doesn't care about humanity or killing in general. He likes to act sadistic towards humans unless they get on his good side, and since he knows very little about humanity, that isn't hard.
- The Antithesis - CDX is a retake of Sonic.exe with a different take on him as a character, with the experiences he gives the victims and his overall goal being different than the original. He appears in his creepypasta, "The Damned CD".
CDX is a different imagining of Sonic.exe, being originally uninterested in Sonic as a character and moreso interested in humans, posing as them after taking them as victims during his early years and learning how to portray himself as one. He only became interested in Sonic due to its immense popularity among people, and the thought of being able to manipulate the very essence of what Sonic stood for intrigued him, since he knew he could sway things his way and trick onlookers. Using this exact tactic, he begins the typical Sonic.exe victim killing spree, finding this tactic to be better than his previous methods.
- The Multi-Take - Crimtake (now known as Sentic) is a retake of Sonic.exe that combines all the original stories into one collective piece, and one main canon. He stars in many game retakes of the original stories, the series beginning with "SONIC: New Beginning", the DLC "Lost Souls", "SALLY: Broken Heart", and finally "ROUGE: Final Round".
Sentic is a being obsessed with Sonic from his very outset, being entirely set on becoming him for his own means. He achieves this in the intro of SONIC: New Beginning, his retake of The Blue Pendrive, and begins his onslaughter of victims in the following games. Unlike most Sonic.exe stories/canons, the victims can occasionally hold up a good fight, with one example being his arch-nemesis Kyle, whose Metal Sonic vessel allowed him to beat Sentic at his own game. Sentic now views Kyle as his arch-nemesis, vowing to destroy him worse than the others. Will he achieve this is up to debate until ROUGE: Final Round releases.
- The Silent but Deadly - Executor X is a retake of 2011X who cannot speak due to having no voice, hence the title given by ShinX. Unlike 2011X, or most Sonic.exe variations, he considers himself SEGA and not God.
Executor X is an interesting take on 2011X where he doesn't have a voice and can only speak through pop-up messages, and the game plays out differently than SONIC 2011 does. Alan dies by drowning, Dave gets burned alive, and Paul gets his head smashed in, all because Executor likes to have variations on how the eternally tormented souls die. He has no real lore at the moment besides some game concept sprites, but even that is very limited at this current stage.
- The Changed - Exeroth started as a retake of Sonic.exe before evolving and entirely changing as a character to be a good person rather than evil. He is set to appear in the upcoming series, "Realms of Corruption".
Exeroth is a soul formerly known as Greather who spreads his corruption throughout worlds he comes into contact with. Originally starting out his legacy be doing the same thing that most Sonic.exe versions do, killing Sonic's friends and corrupting them for his own gain, he met Asheira and quickly realized he could change his ways for the better, undoing what he did in the past to redeem himself for his wrongdoings, and to not disappoint her. He now uses his powers to take down bigger foes, rather than corrupt those that cannot defend themselves against him like he had before.
- The Fallen Angel - G0d is a fallen angel, as ShinX's nickname for him suggests, who was tormented for years by another Army member further down this list. Now, his entire moral compass has changed, and he has become another version of Sonic.exe set in another timeline.
G0d used to be an angel in Heaven, before falling and getting targeted by Dreamer. Dreamer then proceeded to viciously ridicule, beat, and destroy everything related to G0d, resulting in his now-twisted motives. Now, G0d torments his creations, the Chaotic Crew, for his own twisted amusement, and has since lost his memory of who changed him, due to losing the entire memory of being changed as a whole. The story is subject to change, however, so I'll leave it at that.
- The Crazed Misguided - "Hero" is both an alternate timeline of Xenon (keep reading) and a retake of 2017X, combining aspects of both into one character.
"Hero" is an alternate timeline of Xenon, who acts the same and was born the same originally. However, the difference is that "Hero" went down a different path in life, getting hooked to Sonic from the beginning instead of Xenon's path (which will be mentioned further down the page). "Hero" is not aware of Earth or humans whatsoever, either, instead thinking that Sonic is life, and the life he wants to live. He still considers himself to be a God, but prefers the title Super Sonic in his true form. He also sucks at acting like Sonic, since he believes he is Sonic and has no need to act like someone he isn't.
- The OG - OGX is, as his name implies, a retake of the original Sonic.exe, improving every aspect of his character to make him a solid EXE. He is not the same as 2011X, as 2011X is different in personality and mannerisms.
OGX is a retake of the original version of Sonic.exe, removing all of the strange and disgusting information and making the original version a solid character. As such, he is more reserved and less overly-energetic than 2011X can appear as, and also has his victims be one-time occurrences. This is due to the fact that the souls he collects get destroyed upon killing them in-game, making their games only playable once before they are wiped from existence. Also unlike 2011X, OGX possessed a game disc and altered it to his personal liking, instead of making the game from scratch.
- The True Xeno - Origin X is a retake of Xenophanes, with a specific goal to improve his lore and character as a whole instead of just being a character seen in FNF.
Origin X is so named due to being born at the dawn of time and life itself, finding his way to Earth upon its creation. He instantly drew an interest in Sonic the Hedgehog as a franchise, taking the likes of Sonic as a vessel for himself. He then, much like all other Sonic.exe takes, spreads his influence through a disc, collecting souls and causing chaos. He grows more over time, his vessel expanding and fixing itself within his now-eternal body that it's found itself within until his current form, the "Triple Trouble" state. Make sure to note that this version of Xenophanes has actual side stories related to him to grow his character, much unlike the original.
- The Sonic Focused - OSF X is a semi-retake of 2011X, which is more different than similar. He is shown in "Ordinary Sonic Fangame", known as "X's Sonic Fangame" when in-game.
OSF X is born from a specific species of shape-shifting demons that can transform into popular figures, and in this case, X chose Sonic as the main conduit for his disguise. He also can shape into Amy and Postman Pat (who is unrelated to Sonic games), to add. In the game he controls, the player...well, plays as Sonic and has to escape X through various levels, basically a constant chase. Or, at least, it would be, if there wasn't a gimmick to switch from normal to X's chase sequence and back to normal repeatedly. X's world is a direct copy of Sonic's powered entirely by human souls, even when it appears normal, and he can appear in any of his three main forms when the chase sequence is happening. One interesting fact about X's true form is that he had to heavily mutilate himself to match Sonic's proportions, leading to his skin turning grey from blood loss.
- The Robotnik Original - RobotniX is an unofficial alternate universe for 2011X, where he chooses Robotnik instead of Sonic as a vessel. He is set to star in a game that might be made in the future, "Endless Challenges", his version of SONIC 2011.
RobotniX is, as his name implies, 2011X if he chose Robotnik instead of Sonic as the vessel for his game. As such, this drives X down a different path, much like how X is different depending on the game that he chooses as well. Instead of being frantic and energetic, X instead chooses to go for a more stately approach to things, considering the world to be an endless challenge for players. He still is after the souls of his victims to no doubt, and the same souls of Alan, Dave, and Paul are present, only they serve a different purpose within his realm compared to others. And, to go with 2011X's line "NO CHEATING", RobotniX canonically hates cheaters and punishes them, likely killing them early if they are found cheating.
- The Earlier Original - Sonic 2008 X (or Sonic.2008) is an earlier version of 2011X from an alternate timeline, where the events of the game happen in 2008 and not 2011. He is featured in the YouTube video SONIC 2008, with a sequel, SALLY 2009, being developed.
Sonic.2008 is set in an alternate timeline where the events of his game take place in 2008 and not 2011, where he is set in a scrapped Sonic game that would be fully released to the public in 2011. The events of the game itself are largely the same as SONIC 2011, only with more effort put in by X to be actually scary instead of death-after-death. The video itself is really interesting, with everything being very high-quality, so if you want to have a better feel for this guy, go to his page and click on the link to his game's...well...gameplay.
- The Demo Phase - Sonic_DEMO is a retake of Sonic.exe once again, only he is even more different than some other takes, since Robotnik escaped his clutches, and he is actually a twisted being that isn't VOID-based, but rather used to be Sonic himself. He stars in the games "Sonic.DEMO", "Sonic_DEMO.exe", and the remake of "Sonic.DEMO".
Sonic.DEMO used to be Sonic himself, before getting possessed by an unknown entity and completely changed. It is stated that Sonic himself is still in control of the body, meaning it is still technically him doing all of the malicious acts, just his motives were changed by the entity that possessed him. Unlike most Sonic.exe versions, a victim actually escaped him, being Robotnik. Tails and Knuckles, however, experienced gruesome fates at the hands of DEMO, and the version shown here is actually the old canon, not the current one.
- The Beast - Sonic.EYX is a retake of Sonic.exe as an idea, swapping out almost everything in favor of this new take. He stars in his old game, "Sonic Editable ROM", and his upcoming remake, "SonicEDIT.rom".
EYX is a being filled with parasites, due to his species making a truce with said parasites so the two can coexist with one another. EYX is actually sympathetic to those around him if he is not bothered, as he is currently at the Prime state of his being, lending to him acting more like an adult (think Lord X) instead of a child (think 2011X). This does not make him non-threatening, but he is at a stage where he won't instantly kill anything he comes into contact with. This will be shown in his upcoming game remake, where he will be shown in this Prime state instead of his Middling state, which was what state he was in before.
- The Brother to the Beast - Tails.CYN is the brother of Sonic.EYX, being his direct counterpart and "assistant" of sorts within the world they both reside in. He made a minor appearance in "Sonic Editable ROM", and will make a much larger appearance in "SonicEDIT.rom", appearing alongside EYX instead of being a hidden character in the background.
CYN's origin is very similar to EYX, being the same species and residing within the same game, so refer to EYX's backstory above for the main part of this. However, his personality is different than EYX, being almost entirely silent instead of being loud and brash like EYX can tend to be. Unlike EYX, he lurks in the shadows and likes to play with the minds of the eternal victims, whereas EYX prefers to chase them down in a high-risk-feeling manor. CYN is more evolved within his Prime state, similar to EYX, as he tends to be less reserved and hidden when at this stage, and will not stop until a set goal he has is achieved, no matter who stands in his way. EYX and CYN are both set to be main antagonists in the upcoming game "SonicEDIT.rom", where more information about them both will be provided upon release.
- The Alternate Beast - Sonic.FBX (also known as Nano) is a retake of Sonic.EYX from an alternate reality where Sonic loses his mind and gets possessed, tearing off his face and making his entire body a mouth. He appears in the game that shares his namesake, "Sonic.FBX".
As of now, his official lore hasn't been added to his page. In fact, nothing has been, so I'll update this when his page is.
- The Alternate Original - The Original is a retake of 2011X, hence the name. However, his timeline is slightly different, since he doesn't become his reality's Lord X, he meets his reality's Lord X, among other differences.
The Original originates from the VOID, much like 2011X. However, his path is different, as he found a gateway to Earth from within the VOID itself, and began to explore Earth. He almost got bored of Earth after a while, until Sonic the Hedgehog was introduced. He instantly became interested in the hedgehog, and decided the best course of action to have fun and not be bored any longer was to become Sonic for his own twisted means, doing exactly that. The same course of events begins, him killing players and making them in-game characters, until he began to branch out and realized that he wasn't special; that there were others like him. His experience wasn't different. This struck him more than he expected, thinking he was something new and...original, and yet he wasn't. Even so, he befriended many EXEs that he came across, thinking his experience shouldn't be a lone one nonetheless.
- The Insane - Umarak44 X is a retake of 2011X who appears simplistic at first, but as seen in the I AM GOD screen image pictured, is anything but. This retake of 2011X is also female, instead of male.
Umarak44 X is known by ShinX as The Insane due to the heavy use of body horror/bodily gore (ShinX commonly hangs out with Umarak44 X to learn how to better himself at this). Umarak44 X actually exists within a Sonic game on a "free-to-play" games website, where she feasts on the souls of people that fall for this trick. The game itself would have elements of Sonic 1-3, and would eventually full-screen and stop lock, with a prompt appearing for the user to click. If the user clicks it, X explodes out of the screen and devours the player's soul, feasting upon them. The actual characters within her world are AI-controlled, not soul-operated, since she has no care in torturing souls.
- The Mind Corrupter - Xain is a remake of Xain as a character, being once owned by Nominal Dingus, but now is owned by JJ Studios and Sack the Shadowy Goof. This new Canon for Xain expands much further on his character, revealing more of his personality. He will appear in the upcoming remake of his two FNF songs made by Nominal, being "Lost My Mind" and "Breaking Point", as well as the OST for Hardware Addiction.
Xain is a malicious entity that feeds on the minds of his victims, taking Sonic in this specific case. He gets inside the head of targets and begins to fight their soul for control of the body, and if he wins, he turns them into a slightly off version of themselves (as seen with Sonic, where his fur becomes purple with black tips, his eyes bleed, and his mouth disappears). If he wins, he also gains entire possession of the body unless the soul of the host can fight him off and regain their own control. He considers all of this a game, enjoying every moment.
- The Cartoon Xeno - Xagreus is a cartoonish retake of Xenophanes for the FNF mod he stars in, "VS. Sonic.EXE: ULTIMATE". He is entirely intended to be a joke character, and if his design wasn't enough, his description should be.
Xagreus is intended to be the Loony Tunes-universe equivalent to Sonic.EXE, being Xenophanes' stand-in for his universe. Strangely, Lord X in his universe is his normal self, meaning only Xagreus is Loony Tunes-ified in his timeline. He is still evil, but even that is cartoonish, with him not having proper victims, or at least it isn't known if he does at least, and he is shown to have a short amount of stamina just for the funnies. He also loves picnics, and even talks like a cartoon character, calling Boyfriend a "pint-sized buffoon".
- The Bootleg God - Xavier is a retake of Sonic.exe set in an entirely different reality, where his game is a bootleg of Sonic's. He hasn't been updated since mid-2023, though...
Xavier is a God-like being that decided he wanted to boost his popularity and gain access to souls, so he decided to follow the common path of Sonic the Hedgehog. Unfortunately, he mistook a bootleg version of the game as the real thing, and is now stuck in a Mexican version named Xonic the Hedgehog instead. He still uses the game as a conduit to lure in souls, which either become his messengers to spread the game further, or become victims that are brought into his world with him. He also is very formal, going strictly by The X when in his Sonic form (as pictured).
- The Reimagined Original - Xenon is a retake of 2011X, going more towards the God aspect of his self-identity, considering himself the leader of the Holy Trinity.
Xenon was born from various materials that combined in space to make a sentient piece of matter, which floated through space until he saw Earth and became incredibly interested in it. He latched onto humanity, considering humans fascinating, and wanted to appeal to them all in some way, realizing Sonic the Hedgehog would be the perfect choice. Although, like most versions of X, his vision for what he would become was inevitably twisted in nature, resulting in who he now became. He takes the souls of humans into his world, thinking that they should experience the world of true God for themselves, and he thinks he is doing them a favor by doing exactly that. However, when the victims would show signs of fear and uneasiness towards him, he grew quickly angry, killing all of them eternally in pure cold blood due to them not being happy and grateful for what their God had made for them.
- The Artist - Xzrael is a direct retake of 2011X, where he is portrayed as the artist or creator of his world instead of a God. He is still a cold-blooded killer, however.
Xzrael is a different take on 2011X, being his universe's equivalent. He takes a slower approach to things, preferring to savor the moment of fun instead of rushing through it like 2011X does in SONIC 2011. He gives his victims more inventive levels, deeming himself an artist because of this, and after each round of kills, he works to improve the levels they go through and "improve his artwork". The world he's in also varies depending on the observer, from a game like 2011X's, to a Modern Sonic-based reality depending on what the player prefers, instead of having one consistent view. He also doesn't view himself as a God, as he views his world and himself as merely an extension of his artwork capabilities.
- The Xeno Stand-In - Zephaniah is a Mighty-based EXE that is actually a code-based virus using Mighty as his chosen vessel. His brothers, Zacchaeus and Zex, are also included in ShinX's members, but they are not considered different enough to be categorized or mentioned separately. He appears in his own creepypasta, "SEGASONIC.ZIP", as well as Zacchaeus' extension of his creepypasta, "CHAOTIX.ZIP".
Zephaniah (also referred to as Mighty.ZIP) is an alternate version of Sonic.exe in a sense, being a malicious entity that overtook a game in order to cause chaos within it. However, he chooses Mighty as a vessel instead of Sonic, and is also less horror-focused than most other takes, taking a more humor-horror approach to things instead. When he entered the game, a SegaSonic the Hedgehog PC Port, he ate Mighty until just his shell remained, and then shape-shifted to match Mighty's appearance. He now torments the other characters in the game, with Sonic being the main victim shown in his story, "SEGASONIC.ZIP", and his brothers, Zacchaeus and Zex, make appearances along the way with (seemingly) their own stories, however Zex might be entirely a joke character instead of an actual brother.
- The Empowered Lord - Empowered Lord X is an unofficial alternate branch in the timeline for Lord X, known as the Original Forgotten Timeline. He is planned to appear in the FNF mod, "Lord X War: PC Port Lost Files", as well as the story "Revelations of X: The Birth of the New X Lineage" as the main antagonist, and the official game adaptation of "Sonic PC Port Lost Files".
Empowered Lord X is an (unofficial) alternate timeline where Lord X discovers a new power source to even greater increase his abilities. This gives him a new state of being, altering himself greatly due to the excess of raw power he now has. However, his lore is currently being redone, due to having two split canon timelines for this event to occur, so I'll leave it like this for the current time being.
- The Shrouded - Shrouded X is a remake of the original version of Sonic.exe made by JC, made to have a similar feel but remove all of the inappropriate and bad content.
Shrouded X originates from a universe where he was originally adored by others of his type, even having his birthday be considered a national holiday by all. However, X wasn't happy with the love and affection given to him, considering it false and untrue, a mask others around him constantly had on. This led him to absorb power from the core of his world and destroy it, throwing everything into dismay for his own foreseeable benefit. When he was done with that, he found his way to Earth and discovered the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, gaining a great interest in it. He formed a vessel to match Sonic around himself, and warped what was left of his reality into a world similar to Sonic's, getting a game developer to combine a piece of his essence with a disc for him to be able to control it. Now, the disc is spread around so X can continue to gain more souls and sustain himself.
- The Better Sark - 15SrX is a retake of Sark, being an actually good take on an alternate Sonic.exe idea, which Sark himself wasn't.
15SrX possessed a ROM hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 1, becoming its God entirely after his corruption of the world. Unlike Sark, he isn't a pedophile or rapist, both of which were part of Sark's disgusting original lore. 15SrX is also known by his cult as a savior of sorts, since he brings souls into his game to "give them new life", in his twisted and unnatural sense. He was first known to exist in Japan in the 1950s, with first contact in 2013, where he claimed the world's end was near and he was brought to the world as the second Ark, and people began to believe his lies. The Cult of X is known as Church of Salvation, due to his constant lies and manipulation to those that follow him.
- The Modern Misguided - 2024 X is a retake and reimagining of aspects from all the main versions of X, such as 2011X, Lord X, and 2017X.
2024 X's game takes place in a VR port for Sonic the Hedgehog, lending himself to his 3D design. The graphics are described as very bad, and the atmosphere of the game itself is described as dark, decrepit, and eerie. That's...all the lore right now, really, about the game itself. There's no lore for 2024 X at the moment.
- The Crimson - 2X13 is a retake of Sonic.exe that will appear in the FNF mod "T-Port", replacing Xenophanes. Originally designed with a heavy amount of gore being the focus, his new lore makes him be based on palette glitches.
Doctor Robotnik was searching for yet another way to try and beat Sonic, and found a material called Debug, which can copy entities. He used this to create an alternate Sonic to fight alongside him, and the rest is history (as in, what happened afterwards is still in development).
- The Celebration - Anniversary X is a retake of Sonic.exe, made for the original Celebration of X event in 2024. Their D-Sides variant is canon to ShinX's creation, only they are the same character.
Anniversary X originated in the VOID, much like 2011X. He grew bored of the nothingness inside his home, and ventured out of it, discovering Earth and the Sonic franchise. He quickly realized he had the power to create a reality based on such a franchise, and took it upon himself to do exactly that. He made a world like Sonic's, and replicated Sonic's body for himself to be able to portray him by his own standards, and the general Sonic.exe phenomenon and course of events soon plays out.
- The Alternate Maniac - Broken Mighty is the official D-Sides timeline for Dead Sonic, being an almost entirely different character.
Broken Mighty used to be known as ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜, before their untimely death due to Alfred and Michelle. Now, they possessed the game that they were working on at the time, completely taking it over and causing the deaths of the people who wronged them. Unlike Dead Sonic, they are stone-cold and silent, never speaking a word and letting their actions speak for themselves instead. Also unlike Dead Sonic, they aren't happy about their current situation, and actually dislike it, since their whole personality and general thought process is centered around pain and hatred.
- The Blazing Flames - Diablo is a retake of Scrimbo set in an alternate timeline known as "The Rerun UST". Unlike most versions of Sonic.exe, he actually isn't possessing Sonic's body or a game, but rather was born as he is.
Diablo is a retake of Scrimbo, only less cartoonish in overall nature while still retaining aspects of the cartoonish attitude. Unlike Scrimbo, his powers are all entirely based on fire, and he is dead-set on obtaining the power that his universe's versions of Boyfriend, Girlfriend, and Pico possess in order to gain more power for himself. He is also not a demon despite his name, but a deity with unknown origins as of now due to his lore being developed over time with the Rerun UST being developed simultaneously.
- The Torturer - Dreamer is an (unofficial) alternate universe of 2017X, who split into two beings shortly after his creation instead of staying whole, forming his brother Genesis as well as him. He is the tormentor of G0d, who also tortured Genesis as well.
In an alternate timeline, the entity that was supposed to become 2017X actually split into two beings upon entering the disc, with one of the beings having more power than the other. Dreamer was given more power, being able to create and control his own vessel, whereas Genesis (the other half) was forcibly pushed into a Sonic vessel that he can corrupt but not control. Dreamer is incapable of feeling any emotions, torturing those who he comes across simply because it gives him something to at least somewhat enjoy, but if he were to experience feelings, it would be detrimental to him. Likewise, he tortured Genesis and a fallen angel, now known as G0d (see above), almost causing both of them to die.
- The Game Player - Exedus (specifically the GroundedBears variant) is a retake of 2011X with a twist on his character.
Exedus, like most, was born in the VOID, but in an alternate universe where a massive supernova took place, causing the beings of antimatter to gain sentience. The three main beings that gained sentience consisted of Xenon, Zenaiah and Exedus, who all plummeted towards our planet soon after gaining sentience in order to find out about it. All three beings separately found an interest in the Sonic games, with Exedus splitting off from his brothers in order to start his own reign. Unlike the original 2011X, Exedus' timeline has his game feature five main victims, being Mighty, Amy, Metal Sonic, Shadow, and Tails. He deems what he does as a way of helping the souls he captures, going them a new eternal life of sorts with his own twisted motives also applied.
- The Ravager - The Grim (sometimes referred to as just "Grim") is a retake of All-Father and/or 2011X. Unlike both, he truly believes he helps souls that he captures, and the games in his world serve a different meaning.
The Grim is a being so twisted in its own beliefs that it truly thinks that killing people and bringing them to his reality is a way to help them, rather than cause harm. This doesn't mean he's nice, however, as he still is a monster, just he doesn't realize that he is. The games he plays with his victims are exclusive to the souls that try to rebel against their "savior", and he doesn't exactly give them a quick and easy death. Even when angry, he always smiles, due to him constantly wanting to be seen as a friendly hero of sorts; a higher-level Sonic in a sense.
- The Smiler - Mr. Smiley Hedgehog is a retake of the original Sonic.exe, being more focused on having a good storyline. He appears in the "SONIC" webseries, and is set to appear in two FNF mods, "The Rematch of a God" and "VS Troag".
Mr. Smiley Hedgehog (originally known as X) was first known back in 1991, with the release of the first Sonic game. It's implied that he helped develop the game in some way in order to match his world with it, although it isn't specifically known if or how this is the case. His main goal and main bit of enjoyment is murdering the people that play his game, and leaving their souls intact instead of taking them for himself. He only takes the amount of souls he needs to play the characters, thus needing only four for the time being. Like a serial killer, he has a specific detail he applies to all of his victims, that being a wide, often extended smile on the face of the victim. When no new victims have found a copy of his game, he tortures the souls he's kept with him for a means of fun, often killing them in incredibly horrific ways simply because he can bring them back to life regardless.
- The Retake - Sonic.exe (Clean's Take) is a remake of the original Sonic.exe, expanding on the original ideas and changing things to be overall better while having the same feel.
Sonic.exe originates from the VOID, like many others. He found Earth and became quickly interested in Sonic, and found an arrogant, angry man to make a disc connecting his world to the real world. When the game was finished, it exploded, killing the man and sucking his soul into the game. This is when the EXE latched onto him like a parasite after his soul took the form of Sonic, merging with his spirit until the two combined into one entity, with the EXE now being known as X after gaining full control of the body. At this point, the disc begins to be spread around, causing X to begin to cause havoc in the world he is in for his own personal gain.
- The New Mighty EXE - SMI1EDILLO is a new take on a Mighty.exe-style character somewhat based off of Zephaniah, although only partially. He is set to appear in "Mystery Paradise".
SMI1EDILLO has unknown origins, with his actual backstory being developed as we speak. However, it is known that he overtook a Sonic game and began to cause chaos because of it, managing to collect many souls to increase his power. SMI1EDILLO has a red ring that he uses to store souls, due to needing souls for sustenance. Only a few special souls get to be tormented instead of simply stored in the always-held ring.
- The Writer - Pyrited X is a retake of 2011X focused more on storyline rather than killing repeatedly like the events of SONIC 2011.
Pyrited X originates from the VOID after an omniversal nuke occurred in the 4D space, causing an huge beam of VOID Energy to spread all over and collide with other types of energy, this form of energy is actually what he is made of and what powers him simultaneously. X is fascinated by humanity and the concept of emotions, showing how the idea can tell such compelling narratives, this is what sparked the inspiration for his work. X then creates a world to collect souls that mirror the Sonic cast into it and forces them to be in bodies of them to be part of his cosmic theater. He also has far more victims than 2011X is shown to have, having a count of 29 repeated victims rather than three. His story is currently being entirely rewritten, so this is where I'll leave things.
- The Brazilian's Backlash - 1996 is a retake of Sonic.exe who is a different take on the character, already considering himself a God shortly after his creation. He is set to appear in "Sonic the Hedgehog: Flickies Adventure", "Sonic Games and Info.com", and "Sonic.exe Arising Runes of Dismay".
1996 is a Brazilian EXE born in the VOID, when two different particles (black and white) collided into a sentient, malicious being. This being destroyed the whole universe it called home, eventually stumbling upon Earth as it went off to find another. He instantly became interested in Sonic, and first disguised himself as a desktop helper of sorts before becoming the entity seen today. His entire goal in life is to be worshipped by humans in his timeline, and since he already considers himself their God, he is waiting for them to all realize he is as well. He collects and tortures souls that don't see him as their God, proving to them that he is their God by torturous means.
- The High-Quality Alternate - Xether is a retake of 2011X from an alternate timeline of events. He is 2011X's direct counterpart in this timeline, although he behaves a bit differently.
Xether is more fairly manored than 2011X, while still being short-tempered. His games are similar in nature to 2011X's, only he is less excited all of the time to appear less childish to onlookers. He also knows how to design games much better than 2011X, and even is better than Lord X at making things accurate to how they are originally in the games he replicates. His story, like quite a few others, is still being developed, so this is where I'll leave him until then.
- The ZABO Original - ZABO X (as I call him) is a direct retake of 2011X by ZABO IS PRO.
ZABO X is very similar to 2011X's original appearance and attitude, only with slight tweaks. For one, ZABO X has an actual Faker form, which the original 2011X doesn't, and ZABO directly wants to take over the world and turn it into Mobius, whereas 2011X wants to claim all of humanity for himself. Again, slight differences, and since his story is still being worked on, I'll leave it at this for the time being.
- The 90's Throwback - 1992 X is a direct retake of the original Sonic.exe, being more of a mix between 2011X and the original X.
1992 X took over a disc of Sonic 2, making it the Sonic 2.exe game that he uses to spread his influence. His main goal is to take over the world at large and become its God, with the disc serving as a stopgap for the time being until he can manage this feat. Like 2011X, he originates from the VOID, and discovered Sonic the Hedgehog after making his way to Earth, deciding Sonic is the character he'd choose to play as to trick people into falling into his hands. His influence has since began to spread after he took over the game and corrupted other discs with part of his matter, growing increasingly closer to his goal of world domination.
- The Fox Original - 2013 TX is a retake of 2011X if he went a different route, choosing Tails instead of Sonic as the main conduit to catch victims.
2013 TX is so named because he overtook the 2013 version of Sonic 2, and uses Tails as a vessel, not Sonic. He likes to play physical and mental games with his victims, unlike 2011X who likes to get straight to the point. 2013 TX originates from the VOID, much like the original 2011X, however he found Earth in 2013 instead of 2011, leading to him deciding to make his twisted game take the form of the 2013 release for Sonic 2 instead of X's impersonation of Sonic 1. 2013 claimed many victims, tormenting them for his own benefit and to study their minds in his twisted games, only he does so out of boredom and curiosity instead of pure joy and malice like 2011X. When he ages over time, he becomes a version of Lord X, likely named Lord T.
- The Rose Original - 2011 CD is another retake of 2011X if he went a different route, much like 2013 TX. Only instead of Sonic or Tails, X chooses Amy as a vessel.
2011 CD is so named due to her possessing the 2011 release of Sonic CD, overthrowing it for her own twisted benefit. She originally used the game to collect souls, before quickly realizing she was satisfied with the four main victims she has currently, at least for the time being. Much like 2011X, she also originates from the VOID, taking an interest in Earth and Sonic CD's 2011 release, using Amy as a vessel instead of Sonic. She collected souls, quickly noting that the four victims she first claimed were more than interesting enough to satisfy her for the time being, and began tormenting them repeatedly for her own twisted enjoyment. She is more cunning and thoughtful about her game than 2011X, not going right for the kill after only a short level for each character, and has Majin Sonic (called Mazin) as her guardian.
- The Omni-Potence - Omni-Sonic is a reimagining of 2011X and Lord X put into a new type of character, who appears in "Omni-Sonic: Multiversal Collision", "The Path to Infinity", "Rings of Unleashed" V1, V2, and V2.5, and is set to appear in "FNF: Fragility".
Omni-Sonic is a being known as X-potent who defeated Super Sonic and possessed him, taking over his body and mind to conquer the Multiverse. His origins are unknown, though it is speculated that the Balancer of the Omniverse created him and banished him due to his hunger for power at an unknown date, even attempting to kill him beforehand. He has claimed four victims, and has been freed from his original prison on Mobius thanks to his cult members, now striving to claim the entire Multiverse for himself. However, certain Guardians and victims try to fight him, in an attempt to free Sonic from X's grasp.
Friends and Allies of X[]
With all of the Army of Gods members out of the way, we can now move on to X's friends and allies, and how they met originally. As mentioned on X's main page, if you want your EXE (or character in general) to be added to this page, let me know in the comments or on my message wall! I make sure to respond to everybody every time as soon as possible.
Let's start things off with X's first canonical ally, Karma X.
- Karma X is the first canonical ally of ShinX/Shinigami X/just X. Instead of giving a rundown of their character, let's give a rundown on how the two met one another instead.
After going through another round of killing his favorite victims in various ways, X began to have an interesting thought provoke his mind: the thought of leaving his reality and exploring others, due to his power level having finally reached a point for which he could manage this. As such, he appointed the God Guardians the rightful tormentors of his world while he was gone, but didn't leave without stating that if he came back to them in chaos, he would eradicate them from existence and retry their creation. The Guardians agreed to these terms, and X left. Using his powers to warp through realities, he teleported out of his world and into a VOID-like space known as The Emptiness, where he wandered around looking at other worlds he hadn't discovered yet, mainly to try and discover new characters to add to his reality. As he was walking along, a new reality opened beneath his feet suddenly, sending him plummeting downward into said world. He landed on his feet and began to take in his surroundings, instantly being discovered by Karma. Instead of attacking one another, X apologized for his unannounced entry into her world, and the two became allies once they realized they had so many similarities. X invited Karma back to his world to return the favor for his unannounced entry to hers, and the two compared and contrasted ways they went about things. Now, they visit one another to check up on things, and she (as well as everyone else mentioned) attend the Army Member Discussions when they are hosted.
- Eclipse.File is the second canonical ally of ShinX, who is skeptical of wanting X to still exist, yet the two formed an alliance.
Eclipse had just fixed a major issue in his world, stopping a major threat. ShinX accidentally fell into his world on another exploration, falling down into it and alerting Eclipse of his presence. When one of Eclipse's clones met with X, X apologized for his intrusion, mentioning how it was unintentional. Eclipse himself met with X, and had a bit of a disliking for him due to his nature of being a killer. Yet, X convinced him to form an alliance, stating that he would not do any harm to anything or anyone Eclipse himself doesn't want him to, and how he has no intention of messing around with things not in his timeline. The two agreed, though there is still a hint of Agitation present in Eclipse whenever the two interact, since he still somewhat dislikes X as an individual, despite how much X attempts to be seen as something more than a ruthless murderer of sorts. Though, X makes it quite clear that his actions will not be changed unless on his own accord, even when Eclipse dislikes hearing this statement. X also only tends to interact with Eclipse in his Faker form to appear more normal, but tends to not act like Sonic due to Eclipse disliking entities that act like Sonic but aren't.
- The Father X is the first canonical friend of ShinX, who met X differently than how Karma and X met, since The Father visited X himself.
X was once again looking for other worlds to investigate in The Emptiness, when he felt the presence of someone else entering The Emptiness besides him. This was unusual, having never occurred to him before, and when he turned around, he was being approached by The Father X. The two introduced themselves, and The Father explained that he felt the presence of another being similar to him and had to discover if it was true, teleporting to X's location in order to know for sure. ShinX invited The Father to his world, showing him all of it (including zones not yet used by any souls, to get the approval of another being like him), as well as all of his Army Members. The Father likes to poke fun at the Members, seeing most of them as beneath him in a multitude of ways, but generally attempts to get along with them all when ShinX is around. The God Guardians and The Father also have a bit of a beef, due to The Father pointing out their imperfections as a way to jab at them.
- SONIC.199X is the second canonical friend of ShinX, who met X intentionally in-canon instead of X encountering him by accident.
X, like most of the other encounters, was wandering in The Emptiness looking at worlds once more, before one world began to draw more interest than the rest. It appeared different than all the others to him, as if it was twisted and not that way from the outset, like most had appeared. Upon walking toward it, he got close enough to look in before the world sucked him right in, with no intention from him. When he landed in this new world, it appeared mostly normal, confusing him. It was when he heard a voice say, "Hello, Shinigami" that he realized his suspicions and interest about this world were accurate, meeting 199X. Instead of having any sense of hostility, 199X was grateful to meet someone else like him, though X and 199X were both confused as to how X got physically pulled into his world, since 199X hadn't done that himself. X brought 199X to his world to show him how to improve his ways, serving as his mentor in a sense like Lord X serves as ShinX's. X even offered to improve 199X's reality by giving him souls and making the vessels himself to 199X's specifications, but at the moment, 199X denied him on this, having no need for souls when his self-made victims are sentient already. 199X and ShinX are the closest due to this mentorship, and X will show 199X how to do things better and be a better God-like being within his world when 199X isn't busy. Think of their relationship as the closest to a "Sonic and Tails" relationship between two EXEs, since 199X is both fascinated by the other EXEs that ShinX has created, and ShinX helps him with anything he needs.
- 2025x is the third canonical friend of ShinX, who met X by messing around in his world after randomly finding a way in.
ShinX had just finished changing some things in his castle when he suddenly felt a zone in his world shift, despite not doing it himself. This instantly noted to him that someone else was within his world and was altering it, while he was the only one who should've been. He teleported to the zone that was being messed with, and watched as the changes reverted back to normal, spotting 2025x way off in the distance. He teleported in front of 2025x to stop him from messing with things in his world, "confronting" him in a sense, but the two quickly became friends and ShinX made a zone in his world specifically for 2025x to mess with how he pleases, even having a Taco Bell and Burger King in it, among other things, since that's what 2025x wanted there. ShinX and 2025x meme around a bunch, with 2025x tending to be as much of a goof as possible, and his in-universe versions of 2017X, Rewrite, 2011X, etc all somehow find their way into ShinX's world on occasion as well.
- Rose the Dragon is the fourth canonical friend of ShinX, meeting X thanks to 25x and his goofing around.
After 25x and ShinX became friends and started visiting one another's worlds a bit (ShinX going to 25x's more often in order to stop him bringing his whole 25verse to his world), 25x became distracted by Sonikku (Rewrite) for a moment and Rose and ShinX had a little chat, Rose and X starting a friendship separately. 25x will go off being a meme and ShinX will watch from the sidelines, often chatting with Rose in a relaxed manor instead of 25x's goofiness. ShinX will switch to his more stately and reserved persona for this scenario, instead of being his usual persona (read ShinX's page to know what that means, it's hard to explain directly).
- CPU-X is the fifth canonical friend of ShinX, meeting X during development of Accursed ROM and quickly realizing their similarities.
When ShinX and 199X were working on finding the cast for Accursed ROM, inviting EXEs from all over to attend their new kind of game, CPU-X was one of the first ones to volunteer to join in, with ShinX meeting each individual participant himself. When he met CPU-X, the two realized how similar they are in character and the way they go about things and hit it off, and both attempt to best one another at certain things as slight jabs toward one another for the funnies.
God Guardians[]
X's God Guardians are his direct counterpart to Lord X's Guardians of X, as mentioned on the original page for ShinX. However, I figured I'd give a bit more detail about them here, since I've begun designing them and can give a bigger deep-dive here regardless, and since X created them like how he created the Army of Gods members. No images yet, since I still need to finalize 'em, but I have a rough concept for each.
- Kokoro/Guardian of the Mind - Kokoro is the smartest of the Guardians (equivalent to Kito), as their name is intended to imply. Being the Guardian of the Mind, they know someone's thoughts simply by looking at them. Since all the Guardians are based on Sonic, Kokoro's vessel is based on the Blue Blur, albeit changed to his liking. Instead of being blue, he is white in main color, still retaining the peach skin from his original body. His quills are longer and stand upright, due to his energy forcing them outward and upward. He wears black gloves that are different than Sonic's original ones, and has golden shoes with black socks and black detailing. His face is cracked slightly above his right eye, and his eyes are black with yellow pupils shaped like ovals instead of dots like X. Kokoro's mood is always calm and reserved, oftentimes appearing sarcastic when they speak due to having knowledge of the person's thoughts. He views all but X and his God Army members as below him, respecting his Lord and the other creations of his. The only being he cannot read the mind of is X himself.
- Zanin/Guardian of Brutality - Zanin is the most aggressive of the Guardians, as his name suggests. Being the Guardian of Brutality, he spares no physical expense in making his kills as painful as possible to those who are unfortunate enough to come across him. Being inspired by Kyofu, he can shape-shift his appearance on a whim, but his basic form has him appear an ominous grey, with a black shadow following him wherever he goes. His quills are unkempt due to his constant shape-shifting, and his teeth are based off of X's, being sharp and uneven as opposed to blocky and consistent like Kokoro or Giman. His eyes are red and also bleed like X, being the closest in nature to him and wanting to be seen as such. His gloves are always stained with blood, either from kills or by wiping his eyes with them to keep them consistent, and he also has claws. His shoes have become so mangled by his shape-shifting that they have completely deformed, showing his toes with talons underneath. They are also faded black, and his socks are torn. Zanin is animalistic in nature, tormenting his victims as X does, only more akin to 2011X. He tends to go right for the kill, mangling the bodies of victims in elaborate ways. Like Kyofu, he shape-shifts into victims' fears and collects his favorite aspects of their bodies, though his collection is not attached to him and is instead found in the Castle. Due to his unpredictable behavior, he is looked down upon by the other Guardians, causing them to get into a fight quite often.
- Giman/Guardian of Deception - Giman is the most Sonic-like in nature out of the Guardians, due to his entire appearance and purpose being a Faker form variant, just with his own intentions. Being the Guardian of Deception, his entire vessel is almost identical to Sonic himself, with only minor changes. For example, his pupils are solid green ovals, and his shoes have golden G's instead of gold buckles. His overall attitude and mannerisms is almost exactly like Sonic, due to him mastering how Sonic acts, though this is all a lie. In reality, he is a smooth-minded killer that enjoys pretending to be one of the souls, only to prove to them in a strong way that he isn't one of them in reality. Imagine Giman to feed into his purpose of being deceptive, then, and only reveals his true nature once he gains a victim's trust.
- Kanpeki/Guardian of Perfection - Kanpeki is the most self-centered of the Guardians, being the equivalent to Yokubo. As such, he deems himself and anything he does to be without fault or flaw, including the customization's he's made to himself. He retains Sonic's normal appearance, only with slightly darker colors to everything. He wears a golden robe that is fused to his shoulders, making it impossible to take off unless he removes it. His overall attitude is one of pure "I'm better than you", his tone and mannerisms always having the distinct tone of being above someone. When he is allowed to kill by X, he chooses to be very discreet and cunning, "perfect" in his ways. He prefers to deal the least damage to the body that he can of a victim, going for more mental torment and then a quick full death instead of physical torture.
- Kakuhan/Guardian of Agitation - Kakuhan is X's equivalent to Gekido, being constantly angry at everything. He is so angry constantly that his face is permanently stuck in a look of pure rage, and his vessel's color has changed to red as a side effect of his constant, never-changing attitude towards anything and everything. His eyes bleed constantly, due to the pressure he puts on them by constantly being frowned and angry, resulting in the fake eyes completely dissolving and leaving his sockets empty. Due to his constant fit of rage, his original Sonic-like teeth have rotted to a decayed yellow, similar to X and Zanin. Kakuhan is the least-playful with victims, finding their existence pointless and wanting to get rid of them as quickly as possible since they annoy him. He is incapable of finding joy in anything whatsoever, however he does make an attempt when in the presence of his Lord. However, unlike Gekido, he is constantly angry and doesn't ever calm down unless very specific circumstances are met.
- Nikushimi/Guardian of Hatred - Nikushimi is X's equivalent to Ken'o, due to his constant hatred for anything and everything in existence. His hatred for everything is so strong that it has begun to dismember his own body, resulting in his gloves ripping and tearing due to him constantly clutching them, his quills being jagged and unkempt because he hates them, his eyes leaking black tar instead of blood because he hates blood, and his color changing to a dark purple because he hates blue, and hates purple as well, but has no choice in being at least a color. His shoes are heavily damaged, since he constantly stomps and rips and tears at them, since he hates them also, and they're faded to black. His original teeth are replaced with fangs like X since he hated his original teeth. Nikushimi hates everything except X, meaning he kills victims based on the aspect of them he most hates, such as Alan's ability to fly or Rosy being a bright color. Since he is constantly filled with hatred, it doesn't take much to agitate him, however he tends to hate things in a non-aggressive manor in order to appeal more to X by not appearing childish.
- Shiawase/Guardian of Happiness - Shiawase is similar to Kufoku in almost every way, though he acts slightly differently. Shiawase doesn't appeal to a clown aesthetic, instead going for a comedian-type character, though his bits are always targeted towards victims, or use victims, or target the other Guardians simply because he finds it hilarious to annoy them. His color is blue, like Sonic's original (and Kufoku), though he goes for more comedy via wearing a full suit, tearing it up every show for no reason other than the humor of ruining something "expensive" (though the suit is made from the same essence as him, meaning he can regenerate it). He wears jeans instead of matching black pants to again appeal to the humor of not matching his outfit correctly, and his shoes are the same as Sonic's except for the fact they're covered in sparkles of the same color, even the socks. This is just to make his shoes "shiny" in an unusual way, according to Shiawase himself. When allowed to kill victims by X, he tries to appear comedic still but only via his words; his actions speak louder than his jokes and bits. Unlike the others, his personality is not restrictive, since he's based around the idea of happiness, meaning he can find happiness in anything, and just like X, that includes killing the weak.
