Sonic.dat, also known as Dat is an EXE made by Heavy Kujo. He was created to follow the typical EXE formula but decides to become his own thing and find a new purpose after realizing he doesn't like what he was created to do.
Appearance[]
Sonic.dat resembles that of Modern Sonic, but with the traditional bloody eyes that are red with black sclera, he also has a diagonal scar across his chest, yellow shark-like teeth, yellow stained gloves with burn marks on the fingertips and torn cuffs, whiskers, spikey eyebrows, extra smaller quills, large burn marks on his quills, black colored Light Speed Shoes, the Crystal Ring, Amy's bracelet, Sonic's sunglasses, more pale skin, and darker fur.
Personality[]
Sonic.dat despite his past, is very friendly to mostly everyone he meets. He is very outgoing and extroverted, he loves to make friends with beings from other universes. Despite looking like Sonic he doesn't like to be compared to him, as he believes that he isn't a hero like Sonic, and shouldn't be looked up to.
The Tale[]
Origin[]
In a void, 2 of The Entities, Nokori and Toppu, create Sonic.dat, one of many EXEs to be made in that void. After his creation Sonic.dat is given his name and told his purpose is to gain power through souls in a universe made for him, so without questioning it he does as he was told.
Day 1[]
Dat enters his universe, not knowing what to expect, so he decides to play it safe, keep an eye on things, and wait for opportunities to kill his targets. Meanwhile, at the Master Emerald shrine, Chaos emerges from the Master Emerald, shattering it. Knuckles, who witnessed this event occur, attacks the monster to no avail. Chaos escapes and ends up at Big's hut where he finds Froggy. Froggy absorbs Chaos' tail, then swallows the Yellow Chaos Emerald and runs away, leading to Big chasing after Froggy. Chaos makes his way to Station Square and the police chase after him. Sonic, taking notice of the events transpiring, decides to fight Chaos, but Chaos decides to flee and escapes down a sewer drain.
Day 2[]
The next day, Tails performs a test flight using a Chaos Emerald to power his plane. Something goes wrong, leading to him crash on Emerald Coast. Dat takes this as an opportunity to kill Tails, take the Purple Chaos Emerald, and wait for Sonic to arrive. Sonic arrives to find Tails dead near the crashed plane and assumes that Tails died in the crash. Dat appears in Sonic's peripheral vision and attempts to attack him. Sonic jumps out of the way just in time, realizing the reality of the situation. Sonic, frustrated, decides to fight Dat in hopes of avenging his best friend. Sonic rushes forth with a barrage of attacks but Dat manages to evade them all. Sonic, realizing what he's up against, puts in his all and manages to land hits on Dat, but to no avail. Dat, who seems mostly unfazed, attacks back, dealing devastating blows towards Sonic. Sonic, now weakened, can barely stand. Before he can think of what he could do to get out of the situation, Dat rushes towards him. He forms a tight grasp around his neck and starts dragging him towards the ocean. Sonic attempts to break free from Dat's grasp, however Dat is too strong and won't let go of him. Dat finishes Sonic off by dunking him under the water and drowning him.
Dat looks at the Chaos Emerald he took from Tails and decides to collect the rest of them, so he heads for Windy Valley. Dat arrives at Windy Valley and finds the Blue Chaos Emerald. Dat then breaks into Casinopolis and takes the White Chaos Emerald. As Dat is exiting the Casino, he runs into Eggman, who is looking for the Chaos Emeralds. Eggman sees the Chaos Emerald that Dat just acquired and tries to spray him with sleeping gas, but Dat doesn't inhale it. Eggman realizes that Dat isn't Sonic and threatens Dat to give him the Emerald. Dat thinks for a moment, replying, "I don't see why not," throwing him the three Emeralds he acquired. Eggman, confused, questions him. Dat forms an alliance with him in order to awaken Perfect Chaos by collecting the Chaos Emeralds with the intention of backstabbing him once Chaos is given all the Emeralds. Dat leaves to get the Green Emerald in Ice Cap Zone and they part ways. Meanwhile, Knuckles who is still looking for the pieces of the Master Emerald, spots Eggman in the hotel and notices something glowing in his hand. Thinking it's a piece of the Master Emerald, he decides to follow him. Eggman shows Knuckles that he doesn't have a piece of the Master Emerald, using this as an opportunity to test using the Emeralds on Chaos. Eggman gives the Chaos Emeralds to Chaos and he Evolves into Chaos 3. Knuckles, with no other choice, fights Chaos 3 and struggles a bit but manages to pull through. Eggman convinces Knuckles that Sonic is after the Master Emerald and Knuckles questions it but keeps it in mind, heading to Red Mountain to continue collecting the Master Emerald pieces.
Day 3[]
Once Knuckles comes back from Red Mountain, he finds Dat in Mystic Ruins with the Green Emerald in his hand. He thinks he's Sonic holding a piece of the Master Emerald, so he throws an attack at him. Dat notices him before he can land the attack and dodges it. Knuckles gets a good look at Dat's face and realizes that he isn't Sonic and squares up, ready to fight him with no intention of going easy on him. Dat takes this as a great opportunity to get rid of Knuckles, entering a fighting stance. Knuckles throws more attacks at Dat but he easily dodges them. Dat gets ahead of himself and continues to dodge every attack. Once Knuckles leaves himself open, Dat throws a very strong punch to Knuckles' face, causing a lot of pain, making him bleed. Knuckles, frustrated, decides to concentrate in order to land a strong blow to Dat. Knuckles focuses and throws a punch, subconsciously infusing Master Emerald energy into it. He lands a direct blow to Dat's chest, creating a massive open wound diagonally across his chest. Dat for the first time, feels immense pain and begins to panic. He believed he would be unstoppable, a god, but if he could be injured by this, could he really be one? Dat, in a moment of weakness, becomes frustrated and rushes towards Knuckles, and without mercy takes his Shovel Claw from him and gouges his eyes out, killing Knuckles.
Eggman finds Dat shortly after and sees the wound on Dat's chest. He questions Dat about it but Dat doesn't give an answer and just hands him the Green Emerald. Eggman tells him to meet him on the Egg Carrier, but before that, he gives the Emerald to Chaos, and he transforms into Chaos 4. At the Egg Carrier, Eggman tells the E-100 series robots and Dat that he is looking for Froggy and sends all of them to go looking for him. Later on, Dat sees the Red Chaos Emerald and notices Froggy attempt to swallow it. Dat swipes the Emerald beforehand, grabbing Froggy. Dat brings Froggy to Emerald Coast and waits for one of the E-100 series robots to catch him. In the meantime, Dat goes back to the Egg Carrier to find Zero who had just locked Amy and Birdie in a Prison Cell and decides to destroy him for fun. After Dat destroys Zero, he runs into Big in Mystic Ruins. Big asks Dat if he has seen Froggy anywhere. Dat uses this as an opportunity to kill Big using his own fishing rod.
Day 4[]
The next day, Gamma manages to capture Froggy in Emerald Coast, so he and the rest of the E-100 robots return to the Egg Carrier. Gamma gives Froggy to Eggman and Eggman tells him to take Birdie from Amy. Gamma enters the room where Amy's cell is and tells her to give him the bird. Amy refuses to give Gamma the bird. Suddenly, Dat appears and messes with Gamma's arm cannon, causing him to accidently shoot Amy, killing her. Dat destroys Gamma and the flicky inside of him. Afterwards, he kills Birdie and takes the Cyan Chaos Emerald that was in the pendant Birdie wore. Meanwhile, Eggman gave Froggy to Chaos along with the Yellow Chaos Emerald that he swallowed, transforming him into Chaos 5 and giving him his tail. Dat finds Froggy afterwards and kills him. Dat goes on to destroy Beta, Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta, killing the flickies that were inside of them behind Eggman's back.
Dat goes and finds Eggman and shows him the Red and Cyan Chaos Emeralds. Eggman holds out his hands but Dat throws the Emeralds to Chaos, allowing him to transform into Perfect Chaos. Eggman tries to command Chaos, but he realizes that he doesn't want to listen to him. Chaos tries to attack, so he panics and escapes in his Egg Mobile, Dat following. He crashes near the Master Emerald shrine. Eggman asks Dat to work together in order to take down Chaos. In response, Dat laughs. Dat says to him, "I don't need your help to get rid of him. In fact... I don't need you anymore." Dat proceeds to unleash a flurry of attacks, beating him to death. Afterwards, Dat heads straight for Chaos and defeats him with relative ease. After his triumphant win, Dat Stands on a ruined building, bathing in his victory. After about a minute, Dat looks at the wound on his chest, remembering his mortality, causing him to spiral. Dat realizes he never enjoyed killing. Every time he took a soul, it never made him feel good. The blood stained on his gloves wouldn't wash away. He realized the countless innocent taking the lives he took just because he was told to do so. No matter what he tried, no matter what he did, these thoughts could never escape his head. He wanted to undo it all. He regretted so much. He wanted to leave his world and never come back in hopes of forgetting about everything... when suddenly, in that moment, a portal opened. He, subconsciously, created a portal leading to another universe. He enters it and sees a place he's never seen before. It appeared to be a high up mountain range with pine trees, lava, green grass, and cyan soil. He notices someone staring at a wall in the distance, they appeared to look like Tails but with blue shoes and spikes coming out of him. Maybe this could be his chance to start over.

Powers[]
- Fire Immunity: Self-explanatory.
- Pyrokinesis: Dat is able to make fire come out of his body in a multitude of ways, either to be used for utility or to be used as an attack.
- Energy Imbued Fire: Dat is able to create fire that is made of pure energy, which allows said fire to cause damage to things that are resistant to fire as a physical attack.
- Fire Enhancement: Dat is capable of using fire based power-ups/upgrades to increase his overall strength and physical capabilities.
- Match Fingers: The tips of his fingers act like matches, and when scraped against a surface they will catch fire. this ability isn't the most practical but its what lead him to figure out that he has pyrokinesis.
- Flight: As long as he has stamina he can fly in almost any way he wants. The speed of which he can fly is equal to that of how fast he can run on foot. Flying doesn't take up much of his stamina unless he is actively trying to fly at high speeds.
- Teleportation: Dat is able to teleport to any physical location within the universe he currently resides in. He needs to wait 3 seconds before he can teleport again.
- Portal Creation: He is capable of creating portals that lead to different universes or even create gateways to virtual worlds. He can either make a portal to a random universe, or a universe that he has already been to. It takes about 5 seconds for him to create a portal while standing still.
- Regeneration: He is able to regenerate basically any part of his body at the cost of wasting his stamina.
- Super Speed: His speed is capable of exceeding that of the Sonic from his world.
- Super Strength: He is strong enough to with little effort, rip the limbs off of the main Sonic cast.
- Illness & Poison Immunity: Dat is completely immune to illnesses and being poisoned.
- Super Forms: Dat is able to tap into a multitude of forms that improve his abilities and overall strength, weather it be harnessing power from the Chaos Emeralds or a completely unique form created from his own power.
Weaknesses[]
- Chest Weak Spot: Mostly self-explanatory. The scar on his chest is directly over his heart, which if damaged enough will lead to his death. The scar on his chest is also very sensitive, and when injured causes him a lot of pain. He is capable of healing from heart injuries but it is harder for him to do so.
- Limited Stamina: Dat's stamina is vital to how he does most things, its what allows him to heal, use most of his powers, and maintain his super forms.
- Inaccessible Chaos Control: Self-explanatory. He is incapable of using Chaos Control, so he is at a disadvantage if he is fighting someone who can do so.
- No Night Vision: Also self-explanatory. He cannot see in certain low light levels.
Limitations[]
- Incapable Of Suicide: Despite being able to cause himself harm (dealing damage to his own body), if he were to damage his own heart it would not lead to his death. Dat's biology was made so that he would continue live even if he were to try and end his own life through his own means.
- Immunity From Alternates: Building off of the previous limitation, this applies to the alternate versions of Dat, and it makes them incapable of taking advantage of each others weak spots, unless its a robot counterpart.
Trivia[]
- The physical aspects and powers Dat has change depending on what his morality is. To put this simply being bad makes him resemble Lord X and Xenophanes, along with giving him more traditional EXE abilities such as illusions, reality manipulation, and soul manipulation. Being good makes him lose previously mentioned abilities and makes him resemble a regular sonic character more.
- There is an alternate version of Dat called Superior Dat who went down a bad path and ended up becoming what was described above
- His favorite food is fish and other seafood.
- His most consumed food is Four Cheese Pizza Hot Pockets.
- He is incapable of functioning a microwave, and any attempt to use one leads to it either exploding or causing a fire.
- This leads to him asking one of his friends to use the microwave for him, mainly Serrated.
- Despite eating food and drinking liquids very frequently he does not need to consume anything.
- Despite previous point, eating and drinking allows him to gain regain stamina quicker.
- the more he goes without consuming something the less reliant on doing so he becomes. By technicality consuming things regularly is an addiction for him.
- Consuming things regularly also leads to him feeling hungry or thirsty after extended periods of not consuming something.
- Dat enjoys taking naps despite not needing sleep.
- Similar to food and drink consumption, sleep allows him to regain stamina quicker.
- Also similar to consumption of food and drinks, if he sleeps regularly he will end up feeling tired after being awake for an extended period of time.
- Due to his immunity to illnesses and poisons, he is able to consume hard drugs with no consequences.
- Despite this he can still get high or drunk from things
- If he were bored and had nothing to do he would just sit down, set his thumb on fire, and stare at it.
- His eyes have regular tear ducts that are in the inner corners of his eyes and "blood ducts" that are underneath his eyes that do as they imply.
- He keeps blood under his eyes because he thinks it makes him look cool.
- He likes to constantly be doing something to keep himself busy and to relieve stress.
- He smokes to deal with stress and occasionally does other drugs or gets drunk for fun.
- Dat despite not being Sonic has similar interests and hobbies such as breakdancing and riding skateboards.
- Hazel.xml is the current voice of Sonic.dat. His voice sounds like Shadow if he talked in the same tone as Sonic, or just a very raspy Sonic voice.
- If Dat uses a Wisp it won't transform his physical form like it would for Sonic, instead Wisps act like limited use power-ups that give him a certain ability depending on the type of Wisp
- The Black part of his eyes are are fully solid, as they are sclera, and are not hollow parts of his face like some other EXEs.
- He doesn't know how to swim, so he just flies underwater.
