Swift the Hystrix is a version of Sonic created by CrimsonHeat on April 29th 2024. He's inspired by EXEs such as Hog and Spine. Swift is a version of Sonic who got isekaied to a group of islands that make up the Austral Archipelago, with his appearance changing to boot. He hopes to finds his friends as well as a way to get back home. Swift's realm is the main bootleg universe for Frenzational Alters.
The Cobalt Runner[]
Swift is a cocky and brash porcupine who has a passion for adventure. He's a kind individual who is always ready to save the day at a moments notice. He despises oppression and is prone to getting really mad when he's mocked or ridiculed. He shows a indifferent attitude to Professor Otto Matrix, often making snide remarks towards the doctor. When it comes to threats such as Skia or Alloy Swift, he does treats them seriously.
Swift can be self-centered at times, sometimes wanting to be left alone. He would snag at his friends and he often tries to not help people that he finds annoying. He can be very arrogant and boastful but does genuinely selfless and wants to help others. He is also very impatient and has a short attention span.

Legacy Design[]
Swift is a tall anthropomorphic cobalt porcupine with a mohawk-like bunch for spines. His ears are rounded. He has a yellowish-tan muzzle and belly. His muzzle is longer than regular Sonic's and features a small pyramid-like nose. He wear white fingerless gloves and sports magenta shoes similar to Sonic's.
Current Design[]
Swift is similar to his Legacy Design but with some changes. His ears are similar to Sonic's US Depiction. His muzzle now has a circular nose. He has three spines with black stripes, with a stripe being present on his tail. He also has cuffed white gloves.
The Tales[]
Team Sonic woke up near the shore of a beach. They were unsure of where they were or how they got there. Sonic and Tails did catch on that this coastal area felt warm, peaceful, comfortable, strangely familiar. The trio decided to walk around the area to see if they could get any answers to where they were. Knuckles was particularly a blend between anger and anxious, knowing full well he's far from the Master Emerald. Thankfully they encountered that said Viridian Cove, an island apart of the Austral Archipelago. You are Welcome. The Sign also had a mirror right next to it.
Sonic took a gander of himself within the mirror. He recognized himself but things looked off. Knuckles wasn't even an Echidna but some sort of ground pig. As Tails is trying to figure out what's going on, a looming shadow appears within the distance. It's a large satellite in the distance resembling a face. The trio realizes that Eggman's also been transported here. And thus, Sonic leads the way. Another Day, Another Eggman Scheme to thwart, and the possibly to return back to their home dimension.
Minos, an international bootleg game company, had recently gained access to GameCube copies of Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes. They played these games and had an idea to make their own mascot platformer. So, they created their own characters for the game based on the Sonic franchise & took bits and pieces from each of the games code to create their own perfect game. What they got was Hystrix Havoc, a 2.5D platformer featuring 2D environments and 3D characters. And the main hero of the game was Swift the Hystrix.
This adventure stars the cobalt runner and his friends trying to take down the nefarious efforts of his dark doppelganger Skia and the mad Doctor Otto Matrix. But deep within the games code, Sonic and his friends still exist. However, they're being rewritten over with these off brand versions of themselves. Unfortunately, Sega found out about Minos' game development and shut them down. Reportedly, copies of Hystrix Havoc still exist, but they go for high amounts of money on auction sites.Trivia[]
- Swift's voice is similar to Ryan Drummond.
- Originally, Swift was a bootleg version of Sonic from a game meant to knockoff Sonic Adventure 2 but ended up being a 2.5D Platformer with 2D environments and 3D characters.
- A Swift version of Sonic.EXE would be Swift.NRG, NRG being a GameCube file type.
- Swift's version of Green Hill is known as Viridian Cove, and the Chaos Emeralds are replaced by The Jewels of Upheaval, allowing the user to transform to their Shining form if all 7 are collected.
- The Jewels of Upheaval were originally called the Maelstorm Jewels.
- Swift and Fleet are friends.
- Blitz was originally a Solenodon but is now an Aardvark. This was done to reference an old redesign concept of Oriental.
- Swift's Dimension has a similar gimmick to "Hoggification" called "The Swift Shift". This allows characters to swap between their original forms and the ones exclusive to this universe.
- The Frenzational Alters Cast recycled their designs from Hog's universe, but they're stylized to be within Sonic Adventure's Artstyle and with some aspects and colors switched around.
