A sprout from the dark[]
Theophilus, also known as X-file.RIM, is an interdimensional entity from the VOID. His fascination with humanity and its creations has transformed him into an entity whose objective is to spread justice in a perverse way. He seeks out the corrupted souls of humans, those who have committed atrocious acts against their fellow beings or the world, imprisoning their souls in vessels and eternally torturing them in the pocket dimension he created between the VOID and our reality. He has claimed many souls to this date. (W.I.P description)

TheophilusX's main vessel looks exactly like Sonic the Hedgehog, having blue fur & quills with peach skin, wearing white gloves & socks with thick cuffs. It noticeably has black eyes, no pupils, and black shoes in place of Sonic's usual red shoes. It doesn’t cry blood from its eye-sockets at all times, sometimes and especially when happy or excited. It also possesses an unnaturally extended grin across the muzzle, in it’s younger state, housing white fangs that are inconsistent in count, and in the older state the fangs get replaced by uncanny accurate human teeth. In it’s younger form, he resembles Classic Sonic and as the vessel ages, will resemble a Neo-Classic version, combining aspects from Classic and Modern Sonic. Also having black liquid dripping from it’s quills. In its younger state, he had an closed dripping eye on the belly, as the vessel ages, the eye opens gradually while the dripping stops gradually.

In the beginning, there was nothing else than the VOID and X, an entity born from it’s surroundings and it’s purpose wasn’t defined, it floated in the VOID… But, suddenly from the VOID, a singularity sprouted…
Time itself held no governing force, but approximately 19,900,000 years before our own era, it underwent a sudden contraction, collapsing upon itself with tremendous intensity. This collapse culminated in a vast explosion, an event that gave rise to the universe as we know it today. From this primordial detonation emerged a single luminous bubble within the VOID, suspended and drifting through its boundless immensity.
That explosion was the Big Bang, X witnessed it and didn’t care for it, until later when the primordial plasma cooled off and the clouds of Hydrogen started to cool and later create stars; from X’s perspective, they were little blooms of light in the darkness. Some years later, X was observing, from the VOID, the Earth, fascinated about the living form that roamed in the surface; X found an immense group of people walking across the desert, by curiosity, it followed them in the journey. Until they settled on the slopes of Mount Sinai. Their leader was an old man in brown robes with a belt around his waist. He climbed to the mountain's summit and remained there for 40 days and 40 nights. During that time, X manifested in a lamb vessel. He saw how the same people he had seen from the VOID melted materials X didn't recognize and built an statue with the body and head of a lion, the tail of a snake, the legs and head of a goat, a crown on each head, and four horns (two per head).
X left the lamb's vessel and manifested in the statue, his ego inflated as he watched the crowd praise and sing around him. After the 40 days and 40 nights, the leader of the crowd descended from the summit, carrying two stone tablets with 10 inscriptions engraved on them. Upon seeing the statue, he dropped them to the ground, tore the top of his robe, and went to confront his people. Finally, the statue was destroyed and its materials melted. The last thing X saw before returning to the VOID were the embers that had heated the statue.
Centuries later, in 1989, X was observing the, now immense, universe until it stumbled, once again, with planet Earth and its inhabitants, X was flabbergasted by the technology from that period of time, also it was curious about religions and how they worked. One day, he decided to manifest in a dream to a Church minister showing him the VOID and how little his universe was (X did it like a joke to mess with him), on December 25th 1989, the minister talked about the dream and motivated, everyone that attended the church, to convert and repent and to keep a secret so only they could have “inner peace”; the church instaurated a seal between the members. All the things that happened inside, couldn’t be spoken about outside the community nor outside the church. The minister became the leader of, now rebranded, the cult of our “Savior”.The cult?[]

The cult started to grow slowly, they built a statue where X could manifest (kinda, since it couldn't talk)... Soon enough, they destroyed the church and built a bigger one, where the leader lived; the building was divided in two: The praying area: were the altar and rest of praying stuff was; and the other area was occupied for “religious” activities. Although X wasn't bothered by its new house, it soon noticed something, there were more kids near the “Religious” area than the praying one, it didn’t question it… until one night, a child walked to the room where the statue was placed for adoration, kneeled down in front of it and started mumbling, that caught X attention, and so, it decided to leave the statue and manifest personally… The kid was unaware of X’s presence until it talked to him. X’s vessel was a man, with white skin, black hair, and robes; since it didn’t know any other person aside from the one in the paintings the room had. The kid turned around after he ended praying, his face was pure of joy and shock, he went to hug X, as it couldn't do anything but to hug him back
“Oh my Lord, my Lord you listened to my prayers!” Said the kid convinced that he was the real Christ came from heaven.
“Oh.. um… have I! Don't worry, always I’ll do it…” Replied X, since its english wasn't polished… yet
The kid spoke to it, the nuances of the night filtering through the stained-glass windows as they talked. The kid told it how much he loved video games and how he wanted a Sega Genesis for his birthday. X, confused about the device, promised the boy that his parents would give it to him and that he should go back to where he came from. After the boy closed the room door’s, X’s vessel vanished, turning into a sticky black substance that dissolved after a while. Back in the VOID, X wondered what a "Sega Genesis" was and why a child would want one.
2 years passed by, 28 August 1991, and X was awakened from its slumber, came back to earth and saw the Cult, it grew very fast for the time that X was recovering its forces after manifesting a real vessel in the building. Once again, during the night, another kid entered the praying room and sat in a bench in front of the statue. It, once again, manifested in the real world, instead of a vessel it was the black substance that emerged; the girl wasn't scared since the lightning of the room was pretty bad, it talked to the girl directly and asked her why she was there. She answered that she wanted to pray, she wanted a copy of a game… Sonic the Hedgehog, X was once taken aback from the words of a kid, it promised the same thing to her. And she left the room, the vessel remained, the floor soon absorbed the substance, and X left to rest in the VOIDRewriting life's coding (2/2)[]

Andrew is one of the newest souls in Theophilus's world, brought there because he was a thief and pyromaniac. He was captured by Theophilus while playing Sonic Triple Trouble. By being a recent soul, he's inexperienced with his vessel and its abilities.
Appearance[]
Andrew’s vessel is a distorted version of Shadow the Hedgehog's vessel. With some missing features such as the red stripes on his head, spikes, his arms and legs, the absence of inhibitor rings, he does not have a tail and his fur is a warm grey instead of the usual black
Personality[]
Despite being a horrible person in life, Andrew didn't change his ways after his soul was captured by Theo, and he seeks to escape so he can commit crimes again.
His interactions with the other souls are usually cold and arrogant, except for Zack and Iris. Those are the souls he likes the most, especially Zack, because he has developed an attraction to him despite being homophobic. The other souls sense the tension between them, and they are the only ones who don't realize it.
Andrew also hasn't tried to fight Theophilus, due to his lack of experience with his vessel.

Zack was a very reserved young man, a thief, and a card game con artist. Despite working alone, he always managed to evade the law and the authorities. He managed to dodge Theo after uninstalling one of its games
Theo managed to snatch his soul while he was replaying Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric after a successful robbery at a convenience store.

Zack's vessel is classic Tails, with some modifications, such as: bandages covering the hole of his left eye, a shinier fur, and his shoes are the same as Tails, except that they have a black buckle and a black sole underneath.
Personality[]
After his soul was snatched, Zack didn't change his attitude; he's a cold and calculating man. Despite his inexperience with his vessel, he's managed to master certain aspects of it, such as flying and using his arm cannon.
He enjoys teasing Andrew, though he used to do it jokingly, but now he's a bit more serious about it. He's also developed an attraction to him, but he's shy about admitting it because he knows Andrew is homophobic.

The resilient[]
Bill was formerly a servant of the cult of our "Savior," and was the main proponent of human sacrifices to Theo. His soul was snatched while performing one. It's the only soul that wasn't snatched via a Sonic game nor a fangame. After that incident, the cult was dissolved. X placed his soul in the first character it could think of: Sonic T. Hedgehog
Appearance[]
As stated before, his original vessel was Sonic but as punishment for worshipping X, his fur was burned away, leaving only flesh and bones. Oliver helped him and placed his body inside the endoskeleton of a robot, similar to Metal Sonic and covered it with metallic scraps. His body and head are still encased within the metallic shell. His eyes are covered by a visor, his torso is pierced by the robot's endoskeleton, and the bones of his hands and feet were covered with metal scraps.
Personality[]
Since his body was burnt and he was left to die, his personality changed from being an idolater who didn't care about others to someone more understanding who would look for any way to help his allies against X and escape his torture.
He also has a bad relationship with Zack because of his sexual orientation. Most of the time he's seen with Oliver, Denny or Lucas.

Iris, or commonly called Unnamed, is the soul that lives in the Sonic vessel. Destined to be chained in the depths of X's dungeon, she seeks a way to break free and defeat Theophilus. She was brought to Theo's world due to an accident, which took the lifes of 3 persons (Included Oliver).

The night fell on the Ruins, a rapid grey blur could be seen running in the distance, but later fell in the ground due to a root that made him trip; in front of him It appeared ready to kill him one more time… but behind him, Zack was ready to shoot X, and it succeeded, the plasma laser made him back off and destroyed most of its face, giving Andrew some time to run aside Zack while Theophilus was recovering from the shot. Theo couldn't do anything except laugh it off and melt into a black ooze that was absorbed by the grass.
Both vessels reached a safe place inside of a nearby temple, Andrew sat on the floor, scared and sweating, meanwhile Zack was figuring out a puzzle to keep progressing. The silence was brutal, until Andrew broke it.
-”Why did you shoot it? Now its going to be more angry and difficult to survive” -”I may be new to this world but, I wouldn’t let you die in such a pathetic way”- Said Zack while toying with some levers to open the door Andrew chuckled and lifted off the ground and laid on a nearby wall -”Coming from you, its the nicer thing you’ve ever said to me” Zack finally opened the door, he turned his head towards Andrew, indicating that they should enter together, while his two tails twitched impatiently. -”Enter now, ill close the door you pick the torch and light the way” -”Got it boss” - Replied Andrew as he entered and grabbed the torch -”Watch your mouth, or else I won’t help you” -Replied Zack
As Andrew, with a slight blush on his face, walked with the torch in hand, Zack was walking by his side, with a notebook with a drawing of the route they should follow to go to safety. They soon reached an empty room, with torches on the side, crimson pillars that seemed endless and some chains in the roof that reached the floor; both vessels sighed as they reached a zone seemingly safe, due to Zack’s company, Andrew blush grew stronger and stronger and Zack noticed it…
-”You know… Sometimes I wish i… that… Nevermind sounds too stupid” -Andrew said while laying on a wall. -”Come on, spit it out” -Replied Zack -”If something happens and we split paths… I hope ill find you again… I want to be on your side no matter what… you are like my buddy in this purgatory… “- Andrew blushed mildly but still noticeable while looking into Zack's brown eyes, his hand scratching the back of his head and his quills nervously -”Uh… You know… This world has its downsides but, I think you're a pretty nice guy to be around… I think we should keep going, the exit is near” -Zack blushed slightly and He stood up and gave Andrew his hand to help him up from the floor.
After Andrew stood up from the ground, Zack walked into the hallway and he followed too. At the end of the hallway, was an imponent door with two statues at the side, Zack inserted two orbs in the statues hands and the door opened, both quickly rushed to exit the place and looked at the surroundings: A forest that seemed lifeless, trees laying on the ground and some vines hanging from the leaves.
-”And we're in, the others should be crossing the river, are you coming with me or?” -Said Zack while looking into Andrews eyes, his feelings bloomed in his head -” Sure, if that stops me from dying– “ -Andrew was interrupted as Zack pulled his chest toward his chest, both faces were very close…
Then it happened, Zack kissed Andrew, Andrew was shocked by the sudden turn of events but enjoyed it. He put his hands on Zack's hips as he slowly closed his eyes, Zack blushed like a tomato, he laid his hands on Andrew’s chest and caressed the fur that was in it… After a while, both separated from the kiss due to air lack, they looked into each other's eyes, trying to find words. Both quickly regained some composure, they walked into the deep forest and reunited with the others.Canon:[]

Total darkness enveloped the surroundings, the sound of chains swaying in the light breeze. In the midst of this "tranquility," there was a Sonic vessel hung, her arms chained in the darkness, which she had grown accustomed to. Until, suddenly, two glowing crimson eyes observed her, and an ominous voice proclaimed, "It's time for you to come out… To MY world" She stared into the eyes and tried to say something, but a flash blinded her, and her chains shattered.
When her vision returned, she was in freefall into the darkness, seeing figures resembling a certain blue hedgehog, with the same eyes as before, mocking her as she fell. As she plummeted, she looked down and saw a glowing red ring, and when she fell inside it, it transported her to a jungle ablaze, where she became entangled in the vines of one of the trees. As she sobbed and tried to free herself from the vines, the leaves rustled and Lucas saw her. He was astonished and frightened, thinking it was X in disguise trying to trick him. She spoke to him...
“Ugh, who are you? Where am I? Help me...” -Said Iris, still trying to free herself “Back off X, I know what you’re trying to do. It won’t work on me” -Replied Lucas “Who is X? Just help me... “ -Iris eyes were about to cry, and she lean her head down and replied- “Look, just get me out of this vines and we can split paths and act like we don't know each other” “Alright… just let me…” -Replied Lucas, as he grabbed a knife from his pocket and cut the vines, freeing Iris in the process. -Iris shoes touched the ground, as she recovered composure and offered a hand shake- “T- thank you… M- my name is Iris” “Go away as you said” -Replied Lucas as he walked away
As Lucas walked away, Iris remained stranded in the middle of the burning forest. She walked until she emerged from it and reached a plain, where she sat for a few moments on the grass. Then, a black substance took shape before her, the form of a familiar hedgehog, and spoke to her in a very senile and distorted voice.
“Look what we have here… Hm, you look alone, don't you?” -Said X with its normal grin across its muzzle “Who are you?” -Replied Iris, before being grabbed by the neck by X- “Ugh, L- let me go”
